And, if it were exposed in the right manner could be stopped. I mean- if a group was trying to target a "special needs" group in any other venue they'd be stopped.

It seems if the name "religion" is attached to a group such as this, .....then liberties are given that other groups do not have. How can you tell a dub....or any other religious group, to quit looking for deaf people?

I know what you mean Gumby. And perhaps they shouldn't be banned from doing it altogether (although that would be nice too) but they should be required to be open about who they are. It's deception to say they are anything besides JW's looking for members. It sounds like they are totally misrepresenting who they are in order to glean the info they are seeking and that makes what they are doing suspect.

If someone came into my neighborhood doing that- I'd make a very loud noise in the city about it. Fine- if you want to recruit deaf people or people with one leg. But don't say that you are working with a deaf group or a one-legged support group -say you are Jehovah's Witnesses !!
