WTS View: Lying is bad unless you're doing it to protect the BORG. Then it's an acceptable strategy in Theocratic Warefare.

Personally, I hate deception of any kind. But I've been guilty of doing it too.

It spends really.... telling little white lies such as 'grandma i love the top you knitted me' are always good because they don't hurt peoples feelings.However, big lies should be avoided... nasty stuff ... been in trouble lots of times for lying!!!

I most of the time try to avoid a lie, when a true answer would hurt people and its not important (only the TRUTH) I will lie or talk about something else, thus avoiding an answer.

Lying can be dived into two types: white lies and black lies. A black lie is a statement we make that we know is false. A white lie is a statement we make that is not in itself false but that leaves out a significant part of the truth.

The CIA uses a more elaborate classification: White, gray and black propaganda, gray being a single black lie and black propaganda a black lie falsely attributed to another source.

I know a whole lotta JW's who fit this discription.OR,they lie 80% of the time and tell the truth with astounding candor the other 20%.So the victim thinks,"i've been imputing wrong motive","why, they told the truth this time,Sooo they must be telling the truth all the other times also....
