Back in the day, I heard or read -- don't recall which -- kids with JW mothers and non-JW fathers being referred to as "fatherless children". Do they still call them that?

This experience is another example of how what used to be ``public talks," i.e. discourses on a broad range of doctrinal and spiritual issues intended to elicit some interest from non-JWs. either invitees from the public or ``unbelieving mates." Speakers were cautioned to refrain from resorting to JW ``theospeak" or being judgmental.
Nowadays, there's no longer any pretense that these are mainly opportunities for JWs to invite the interested public to examine the Bible, but are rather are intended to validate the narrow, self-absorbed JW mindset and worldview, are laced with JW jargon unintelligible to newcomers and focused on the behavior modification, guilt inducement and control of the dubbies. God and Christ are seldom, if ever, the main topic.

I remember talking to an old freind who I knew was going to bring up why I wasn't going to meetings anymore...I waited and talked a bit and waited and SURE enough..."so whats happening with youand the truth?"...I said "well, it's better we don't talk about it, I don't feel like being here for 2 hours going over it" and he says "fine by me but why don't you get off your ass and be a responsible father and look after your Kids spirituality!"
I am not an advocate of violence in any way but I never snapped so fast in my life. I got up out of my chair said acouple things I don't remember and left for his safety. He called back and said sorry and blah blah...but whatever...your an asshole...by by now.

Well thats how the dubs feel, why should they hide it. If they made their beliefs clear and open from the beginning instead of sugar coat them, people would have knowledge of exactly what they are getting into, before its too late!

At my last circuit assembly, unbelievers were called corpses. If you married an unbeliever, you would be kissing a corpse.
They've got the term "unbelievers" mixed up with "the Governing Body"..........I'm sure it was just an oversight.
