im going to agree with Xena. you can have your religion and even your apathy... and not be harming anyone. but when you take it to the level where you become the judge of others, based on your beliefs, then you begin to hurt other people. personally, i am a JW-turned-Christian. but i have gay friends because i dont have any right to judge them. i also have muslim friends. and yes, i even have some Jdub() friends still. open your mind and your heart will follow.

Many wars, political infractions, and religious power-struggles are down to the "love of money"...

I agree with LittleToe - to be more specific, it's not really money itself, but desire for power and control of resources. Money simply represents those things - but in all of man's history wars have come down to a basic disagreement over control of resources whether it be land, diamonds, oil, or people.
So - I'd have to say the root of all evil is greed - demanding full control of resources and power over others.
