At worse E-Watchman is Evil Slave. But he is still FDS. I don't think you keep up with the party line. I
New Wave JW's . . . I sort of got a chuckle out of this one.

I would probably be somewhat less harsh and call that "transitional thinking".
When I was on my way out from the org (18 years ago), I held similar views I guess. I would never have thought of disassociating, just because all the people I knew and dearly loved were inside. I desperately hoped things could change. Yet I didn't hide my feelings or beliefs and I was disfellowshipped within a few months. But I must admit these last few months were great.

I'm with Narkissos on this one; I incline toward a more charitable view, i.e. that these contributors to the E-watchman thread are in transistion, and struggling with the unpleasant facts about their ``Mama" and her warts, that are beginning to come into focus.

Quotes
"New Wave JWs"?????????
I quote the talented Billy Joel:
What's the matter with the clothes I'm wearing?
"Can't you tell that your tie's too wide?"
Maybe I should buy some old tab collars?
"Welcome back to the age of jive.
Where have you been hidin' out lately, honey?
You can't dress trashy till you spend a lot of money."
Everybody's talkin' 'bout the new sound
Funny, but it's still rock and roll to me
What's the matter with the car I'm driving?
"Can't you tell that it's out of style?"
Should I get a set of white wall tires?
"Are you gonna cruise the miracle mile?
Nowadays you can't be too sentimental
Your best bet's a true baby blue Continental."
Hot funk, cool punk, even if it's old junk
It's still rock and roll to me
Oh, it doesn't matter what they say in the papers
'Cause it's always been the same old scene.
There's a new band in town
But you can't get the sound from a story in a magazine...
Aimed at your average teen
How about a pair of pink sidewinders
And a bright orange pair of pants?
"You could really be a Beau Brummel baby
If you just give it half a chance.
Don't waste your money on a new set of speakers,
You get more mileage from a cheap pair of sneakers."
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways
It's still rock and roll to me
What's the matter with the crowd I'm seeing?
"Don't you know that they're out of touch?"
Should I try to be a straight 'A' student?
"If you are then you think too much.
Don't you know about the new fashion honey?
All you need are looks and a whole lotta money."
It's the next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways
It's still rock and roll to me
Everybody's talkin' 'bout the new sound
Funny, but it's still rock and roll to me -
Undaunted Danny
I posted several times at the e-watchman charlatan's site.He has never kicked me off but the dubs there go ape shit.
I still got 89 hits to my home page, thanks to all you dubs for the free advertising.

Its chuckle worthy, however,
I guess I'm not as cynical as some of you. I'll have to respectfully disagree, that those folks are as "bad" as a lot of the hard liners that run the show. I for sure don't view the majority of them as hypocrites. I too lived in that world for the last couple years before my removal. Thinking that all it would take is my generation reaching the decision making stage. Then things would be set on the right track. I agreed with the basic theologies of JW, but had a serious problem with the governing. I never talked out of one side of my face, though, and acted in a different manner. Guess thats why they got rid of my dissenting @ss. Bad influence.
Sort of like this....I agree with democracy, but I don't like the Shrub administration or some of their implemented programs. Room 215 says it best in my view...
my opinion strictly.

Corvin, I'm glad to see that I actually disagree with you on something here. I was starting to wonder if you had some weird sway with me. Its that sexy crow-like avatar you've got. Phew, I'm still my own person.

Narkissos,
I see your point, and I agree that what they are probably experiencing is transitional thinking, but it still does not change the fact that the Society considers that apostasy. I think that was the point that Corvin was making. They can wish for reform and they can call it what they like, whether transitional thinking or "New Wave", but they still are apostates, according to the Org, and they are fooling themselves. They look down upon the people on this board as being apostate and evil (look up Corvin's posts on E-Watchman under Corvinus) and they consider their position somehow better, or superior, and yet they are guilty of the very same thing...they disagree with the Society. That is an apostate no matter how you slice it and no matter what you call yourself.

It's the new Tide with Colorsafe Bleach!
Whatever you feel about them, it would still be an organization run by men - just different men. Same mentality, even if they know not what they do.

Bingo.
Now, I have never been to E-Watchman, and I know very little about them, but it sounds like they do have good intentions and honestly wish to help. Then again, I though, and still do, that most dubs have good intentions; they are just misinformed and misled.
Like I said, I'm no expert on E-Watchman and their theologies, but it sounds like some of you are being a bit harsh on them. Maybe they will do some good. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
