    Hi Daniel,

I was born in a JW family and spent my youth and mid life as a JW. You will trully be joining an organization of men who feel they can run your life from the bedroom to your employment, and everywhere in between. They are not really concerned with your life but only the welfare of the organization.

They can ruin your relationship with your family if either of you decide not to continue as loyal servants of the organization by disfellowshipment and shunning. They will expect you to cast your family out as evil servants of the devil if they don't follow every word of the Watchtower literature, you will not be allowed to associate with them and still be in good standing in the congregation.

You will be expected to sell the Watchtower literature with all your free time and report this to the congregation, they call it witnessing to the worldly.

You will be pressured to not have any friends, except the ones in the congregation. You will not be able to celebtate anyone's birthday or any of the normal holidays.

Everyone you know who is not a JW will be looked upon as worldly, fit only to be destroyed at Armageddon and food for the birds at the end.

IF you advance in the congregation you will be given more responsibility than a norman person can handle.

This is just the tip of the iceburg, so if that is what you want, go for it.

    Out and happy,

    Ken P.

Daniel, all the things Undecided says are true. I was hoping you would research it and read that for yourself, but as long as that information goes into your head, that is the important thing.

    Wishing you well, regardless.

    Hey Humble,

I remember that bit about the Job application from the Reasoning book. Got any knowledge in your brain that isn't just spouting robot phrases gleaned from a cult manual?

    Daniel,

I was born into the JW's and finally was able to break free at age 27. I left behind all my friends, not one will talk to me anymore. Fortunately most of my family left at the same time so I haven't lost any of those loved ones.

Do you consider yourself or any of your non jw friends to be bad association? How about your non jw family members, care to be cut off from them? That is what they will do. No more family holiday gatherings for you, you will be totally on the outside. Oh, and when you have finally had enough and want out? All your new friends and "family of faith" will drop you like you are poison. Hopefully your former friends will understand. Don't do it Daniel, she is not worth it no matter how "hot" she is.

seeing that all you people are mad and raving against the JWs. Makes me feel more then ever now that this is the right thing to do. Makes me want to join even more. Like the devil will always be against things that are right. And he will try his best to lure the undecided to his side using family friends loved ones and such. Even talking about other jws. What i have noticed is that all you haters are talking down about JWs but no one has come and talked about you who is a JW. It all makes sense now. This is a war. And i am joining the JW side. YEAH i will have to give up a lot of things but if it is right and true it is worth it. Plus my girlfriend would never lie to me and this has helped her alot. so yeah i am still joining. Thanks for all the info.

    Daniel,

By that logic, the best thing would be for you to join the KKK, the Hell's Angels or the local Nazi party instead. Of course, knowing that people will discourage you, that proves they have the truth, right?

As others have said: it's your own life. But do you seriously think falling in love with a JW girl is the correct motive for joining a religion? And you haven't considered that your interest in this wonderful girl perhaps clouds your judgment somewhat? Just a little bit?

Good grief, Daniel. Just wait. They will warn you about us, and then what will you say? That we must be right?

No one has asked. How old are you? Your reasoning is quite childish.
Do you have parents, to consult? If you do, I recommend it.

My youngest son's, name is Daniel, so I felt something more in posting for you, that I normally do. I don't want anyone, who
is so young, to make such a huge mistake. DANIEL, IT IS A CULT!!

FaLLING IN LOVE WITH A JW IS NOT THE ONLY REASON I PLAN ON JOINING. OK I AM NOT A WEAK GUY. I DON'T DO STUFF BECAUSE A GIRL IS. I STAND ON MY OWN AND BELIEVE ON MY OWN. I DON'T NEED ANY GIRL OR ANYONE ELSE TELLING ME WHAT I SHOULD AND NEED TO DO. I ALREADY WANTED TO DO SOME STUFF BUT I COULD NOT THINK OF WHAT TO DO JUST HAPPENED THAT MY GF IS A JW AND SHE TOLD ME ABOUT IT AND EVEN WRITE OUT DAILY TEXT FOR ME. I LOVE THE JW THING I AND I REALLY WANT TO JOIN.
