Oy! I'm glad you and CSG had such a great vaca. Can't see the pics very well, will check them out when I get to work tomorrow (bloody trojan ate my settings! hehe).

Fishing is very spiritual. There's nothing like being immersed in nature, all day long, nothing to do except cast that line, to help us realize we are at one with the universe.

mmmmmmm, trout, we don't have many here anymore (acid rain, east coast ya know); only in lakes that are stocked. : ( I won't eat those - yuck! I really miss fishing, the salmon fishery has 'disappeared' here as well.

eh tal...I would have been much more "one w/the universe" if the rain drops and wind hadn't made it hard to see the fly.. But hey..it was worth it totally. The only problem I had was the previous injury I got playing about on the pool deck w/the likes of WildTurkey, Littletoe, and FMZ at Apostafest...I limped around like an old sea dog for several days and ended up bruising my leg even more...Oh and there was this problem...CSG was preparing some trout the first night and one of them climbed up on the table and took one still uncooked in the foil...AND ya he took the big one..

grrrrrrr.....eh he also came back and managed to snake the baloney and the hot dogs from the cooler on night while we were still up...BUT there was sweet revenge when we made popcorn the last night and the pan still was very hot. He decided to help himself to the leftovers and burned the crap out of himself...bwahahah all I hear is the cast iron clanking around and a loud screeching raccoon...bwahahaha

Mulan It was bound to happen sooner or later... I came back a few hours after I'd posted the reply, and thought, "wlll you look at that. Now where did she pick that up?" Pretty excited that she'd taken an interest in fishing, with poignant commentary and insightful questions, no less.

Valis I've been taking all of my salmon catch from the last year straight to specialty smoker. He brines, hot smokes, and vacuum packs the fish in 4oz. bags, frozen when I pick them up. I love the fish bbq'd or fried, but pepper smoked is my favorite. Rachel and I once came across a general store way out in the boolies of Vancouver Island, B.C., where they had a large oak barrel full of smoked rainbow trout. Heads, tails, and all; dry, flaky, and delicious. The sides of meat would easily separate from the spine and ribs, yum. If we get any large dolly's next week, I'll smoke them too. P.M. your address and I'll ship you a slab or two.

eh...it is so great to make new friends here and share in thier lives. I wished some here would consider this forum more of what that is about than anything. For all we talk of healing, getting over JWland, dealing with ongoing family JW bullshit, the most important thing to me is making new friends and sharing in thier lives to the best of my ability. Thanks for all of you who do this and make that effort. AS IMO te best way to tell the WTBTS to continually get stuffed!

Yeah, go ahead, rub it in. I'm being nice about your vaca, and all you can do is rub it in, about how all you guys had so much fun!

BTW, that coon is too cute! I've never seen one in RL, that's quite a close-up.
