It's all very well the WTS giving the instruction, but the reality is they DO tun to the Watchtower magazine as their final authority. Give an elder the choice of the Bible and a bound volume and he'll choose the bound volume every time!
As an aside, I wonder why they feel it necessary to even give such an instruction? I wonder why?
How much better it is for Mrs Ozzie and I to not have to worry about what a book says when we want to simply read the Bible. We've found it is possible to be with people who only look to the Bible - yet the WTS claims it isn't. Clearly their reasoning is based on the tenuousness of their teachings.
