Ranch, obviously----you didn't know much! That's why we must always keep up with Jehovah's celestial chariotlike organization.

Instead of saying, "the Society teaches," many Witnesses prefer to use such expressions as, "the Bible says" or, "I understand the Bible to teach." In this way they emphasize the personal decision that each Witness has made in accepting Bible teachings and also avoid giving the false impression that Witnesses are somehow bound to the dictates of some religious sect.
Man, they're aren't enough eyes to roll at that statement.
Where in the bible does it say you have to join the Ministry School?
Where in the bible does it say you have to attend 5 meetings a week or face eternal destruction at Armageddon?
Where in the bible does it say you shouldn't have babies, or get an education or pay into a pension plan and then turn around and say they're all okay to do?
Where in the bible does it say that vaccinations are the same as canibalism?
Where in the bible does it say that having sex with a goat or donkey doesn't constitute fornication or adultery?
Where in the bible does it say that you have to study for 6 months, sit before a group of elders and answer 100 questions BEFORE you can accept Jesus as Messiah and get baptized?
Where in the bible does it say you have to place literature each and every month and record your time in order not to be seen as a "weak vessel ripe for destruction"?
Where in the bible does it say that charity work and helping the poor count as nothing compared to placing Watchtower and Awake magazines?
Where in the bible does it say that every single Christian must go out in Service at least once a month in order to have Jehovah's approval?
But the Bible doesn't say ____ and they know it. So theocratic strategy has gotten this far. Will none of them ever figure the truth out?
aaaaarrrrrrrrgggg
I didn't know the bible talked about pioneers? and auxiliary pioneers?. I didn't know it laid out an hour requirement for them either. And I didn't know that the bible said the hour requirements would change from time to time.
I didn't know Jesus sold magazines either.
I didn't know the bible forbids men to have beards.
I guess I should have read the bible more than the watchtower. Then I would have known these things.

Yet most JW speakers will buttress their comments by quoting extensively and verbatim from the WT, often lugging bound volumes up to the podium with them-- something we were counseled NEVER to do at Bethel; as I've said in many previous posts, hte sign on the door may read the same, but it ain't the same organization it was 30-40 years ago. The public talk outlines were skeletal, may one page, double spaced; today's are almost manuscript.
today's are almost manuscript
some are simply read too!
I remember one country yokel elder (a farmer) who used to "stick to the outline" and simply join one line to the next with a variety of conjunctions!
Don't quote the Watchtower. It keeps changing.
