MORE THAN TIRED OF THE POLITICAL CRAP!

  If people come here just to support their own political agendas and views, then maybe it is time for them to consider moving on, because it seems we have the same people going over and over and over the same arguments time after time. Right or wrong it gets old and rather annoying really.

  Whereas I wouldn't be so bold to ask people to move on, just to take their opinions to a POLITICAL DISCUSSION BOARD where they can really have a debate on what interest them. I would hate to see people leave this RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION BOARD because they want to talk politics........I guess it's true that religion and politics don't mix, or is it, never discuss religion and politics? Take your pick.

  Travis I must say I am really glad you didn't drop the "f bomb" in your tirade, although my [editing] fingers were twitching.

  Kate...you know me...if I say the naughty words I don't mind being edited...but I'm not quite that mad YEt *LOL* I just don't like seeing people be so pissy with each other. And ya I agree, I guess that is what I am really getting at...I don't want anyone to leave, well except for maybe onanism *LOL*

  Wow, without context, your statement could apply to JW topics posted here...

  Although we don't have real JW's here to defend their faith (So we don't have a lot of arguing on JW topics) I think you're right. Any ambiguous subject can be argued ad infinitum.

  If you argue these subjects enough, pretty soon you know your opponent's arguments as well as he does. You have counter-arguments already prepared for those arguments. Of course he knows this and has counter counter-arguments prepared for your counter-arguments. But you know this too and have arguments prepared for his counter-counter-arguments.......The two positions become entrenched

  You see this on religious topics as well. On the Trinity, the JW's and Evangelicals go at it tooth and nail and in the end, they both think they've won. There's never a clear winner because the entire subject was ambiguous to begin with

  Well said. In Simon?s wisdom, he has categorized topics. So you can go to the area of a poster's interest. You don?t like humor, then don?t go there.

  As a side note, we mostly don?t have active JW posters here because some run them off with insults and argumentum ad hominems. That is the real crime here......

  As for the political threads, well, this is the first one I've read. I get much less irritated this way...and bored.

  Some subjects you just learn not to discuss with certain friends....if you want to stay friends that is Ergo I stay away from political threads now
