Ah, the age old smurf legend. I thought that was just a local urban legend. I can remember my little brother throwing away his smurf doll because he heard about the one where the smurf doll got up and walked out of the meeting. My question was always how the demonized doll got into the kingdom hall, seeing as god's holy spirit was supposed to be there. :)

I have heard most of these in some form or another for years, the truly evil thing is [and I remember this as a kid] young ones hearing this clap trap form mom and dad and being scared to death, and they say non dubbers are evil for telling their kids about Santa claws, will I would have rather grown up with the Santa myth than the demons are gona get you myth,

I was always scared stiff to buy items from a second hand store, as we were always told that some of them are for sure demonized,

I now after leaving collect many old items from cigarette lighters to Nazi badges and medals, to confederate notes to civil war guns, and guess what? not one of them floats,

I have a cousin David and robin Babcock, [I changed the first name to keep them anonymous] robin has a mental problem [her dad Mr. Schroeder was very over dominant dad] when she first married Dave her second cousin she started to have things move in the house, doors would open and close, ect. come to find out all this demon shit was Dave trying to cover up his wife's mental illness. he made it the demons or devil made me do it.

The point is that most of the time when you research out these stories you will find that there is more to it than what is on the surface, most of the time you will find that the people who have the problems are of very susceptible to suggestion, I was told by an elder when I brought this up that yes that is true but Satan would want to attack the weak ones. always with the circular reasoning, along with the ad hock,

The only time I have ever had something happen to me was when I went as a kid to an assembly in Detroit and there was an hour program about demon stories, it hit me so hard that when I went home I saw lights in my room and had nightmares for a week,

I now know how the mind plays a great roll in your life, just like when you are around some one who has the flu, for the next week unless you get the flu you think you have it when you were feeling perfectly fine the day before, or when you go to bed after seeing a horror movie your mind will play on that information and you will dream about it, and if you do have mental problems like robin, she did try to kill her own children by turning on the gas stove, you don't get help from the pros, no no, you should go to the elder carpenter, or brother electrician for help. you know if my breaker blows I would sug, going to an electrician but not for medical problems, just common since, something in short supply at the wts and kh's

How about the pioneer sister who didn't wind up dead at the hands of the serial killer who had just killed two avon ladies in his apartment. Why didn't he kill the sister according to police? she had two big guys with her (Angels). I'd like to know how the police knew a JW was at the door, and if they knew he killed others, why didn't they arrest him?
I remember this one from my JW days in NJ mid 1980s

Yeah, well I remember it from when I was attending the Seventh-day Adventist church back in the mid-60's. The same story was told about an SDA missionary. I also heard it applied many times to JW's.

This day there happened to be no brothers going out to preach Jehovah's word and this drunk man was in there. The little scared sisters started praying to Jehovah for help. The drunk man started playing the piano that was there and wouldn't leave.

So why didn't they just call the police?

Oh, wait, that's not physically possible. Unless demons allowed the cat's you-know-what to be able to stretch that far.

    Perhaps he was, errrr.....under-endowed?

    7. My Husband is Bonking a Cat- Little JW sister notices her cat has been walking funny--

If this story is true shouldn't she have noticed the HUSBAND was walking funny from having his testicles bitten off by a house cat!!! hahahahahahaha

All these stories share the same basic theme. THEY ARE ALL BULLHOCKY!!! This is merely another level of religious control ALL religions use them. The jews and first century christians had a bunch of stories like this too they wrote them down and they are called (drumroll please) the bible! Those stories aren't any more factual than these listed here. If you write these stories on this thread down in a book and bury it in the sand for a thousand years they dont' become true when you dig them up!! A old lie is still a LIE.

There aren't really spirit creatures it's all crap and superstition!

ok, here's the story i was told that related to smurfs. i was told (again in the midwest) that a sister bought a smurf doll for her young daughter and brought it to the kingdom hall. in the middle of the meeting, the smurf doll got up and walked out of the kingdom hall because it had a demon in it that was tired of hearing jehovah's name.

Did ya hear the one about the 2 sisters out in service who are invited inside a big old Victorian house by a sweet little old lady who takes them into her parlour, has them sit down, and then asks if they want tea? They say, "That would be lovely, thank you very much," so she claps her hands and says in her sweet little voice, "3 cups of tea please." They assume she's calling to a person in another room who works for her... until a silver tray with three cups and a teapot comes floating into the room and settles on a table. The old woman says, "They're always doing nice things like that for me."
