today was really pleasant..morning had breakfast outside, near 70 by 8:00. went to some friends home for a peacefull devotional gatering of a variety of folks..then headed to the blue berry patch where we picked thirty pounds of beauties in an hour. Spent two hours cleaning them, bagging them and putting them in the deep freeze..had a light lunch,,took a nappy pooh, then watered the back yard. That consists of turning on the underground watering system and taking another nap on the patio furniture. Barbied some fresh king salmon and scarfed it down with salad from the garden. Sat in the swing by the pond for an hour or so and just finished whipping my grandson's fanny at cribbage. Time for a little JWD before nodding off

One thing I tend not to do is to structure my Sundays now, so it depends a lot on how I feel when I wake up.

Sometimes, I get up and have coffee and surf the net while the kids are still sleeping (and of course stop off here). Then when they wake up, I will have them run across the street and get Krispy Kreme donuts and a newspaper, which we will divide up (heh heh-read fight over) and read.

If there is something interesting going on at the church forum, I might go there and then to the service that follows (I can't explain how nice it is not feel compelled to attend every Sunday). Afterwards, I go to my favorite library (which is right across the street from the church, and open on Sundays, whoohoo).

I usually take a walk in the afternoon (I walk alone mostly, because I do walking meditation), then hang out with my kids. Sometimes, we go see a movie, go to the amusement park, or take a hike at a nearby park.We usually have something grilled for supper (my son is proudly learning how to use the grill), which we prepare together (the boys agree that the food tastes better when we all contribute to preparing the meal).

After dinner, we play with our dog in the back yard and hang out on the swing and talk. Or we might watch a video or something on tv (I'm not so much into tv anymore, though, and usually read or write letters while they watch).

I'm heading back to college this fall, though, so Sundays will probably be spent doing homework now, lol.

Mostly I have worked on Sundays which is a slow day so I didn't mind unless there was something going on with my friends and I was missing out. Now, I am off Sundays so I went to the lake last weekend and yesterday..........nothing.....!!!!

This last Sunday, Mike and I had attended a family reunion (his side) at his family's lake-side camp. We spent the night in a really cozy cabin with our dog. We woke up early yesterday, cuddled for a bit, scrounged for food, played with the dog who made her way as quickly as possible to the beach and the water.

    Typical early sunday:

    • Sleep in
    • Cuddle time/Play time with each other before we get out of bed.
    • check email/forums/etc.
    • If Mike is out of bed first he is probably on the internet, if I am still in bed, Twobit will try very very hard to get me out...she can not stand to have one of us still sleeping! She will lick my face most likely.
    • eat breakfast, we are trying to go get a danish at a local down town place every weekend, sometimes its breakfast menu at McDonalds.
    • Do our own thing, yard, walk, etc. Good times!

i have to admit sundays are a bit sad cuz i know that next is monday madness

although now that its summer i usually get up make breakfast and head out somewhere with my friends, movies, a park or even just to have dinner..nothing crazy, as my friend says Sundays are just "chill" lol

Yesterday (sunday) i went to the Dominican Day Parade in manhattan and laughed at all the boys trying to flirt with my friend and I, and her and i thinking arent they like 15!!! But it did make me want to go to the DR and see my grandma...

Then we went to Brooklyn to spend the afternoon with some friends in her backyard and i got bitten by all these insane mosquitos!! then we moved it all indoors and just laughed and laughed,..i rode the subway home falling asleep and almost missing my stop, then i spoke to my BF on the phone and went to sleep....sigh...

My favorite day is still saturday...I love that day!!!

When it comes the time to do so, I'll sleep very late and do some house/yard work throughout my whole weekend. I'll be sure to squeeze some time for fun activities as well.

    eMAN

here in texas we have areas that are "dry" , no liquor or ber/wine can be sold. we have to

drive to buy anything. but the areas that do allow it, u can buy only beer and wine -no hard liquor on sunday

bars are open on sunday in areas were bars are allowed, not sure if the bar is restriced to only selling beer and wine too

this is baptist country and that's the law here.
