Ocho Rios Jamaica was great too !!

So is Montego Bay, Jamaica. My husband and I were married there a little over a year ago. The place we stayed was couples only but they have a sister resort, Beaches, that is for families. It is great and all the food, drink and water sports are included.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation at whatever destination you choose.

Yeehaaaa desib !! I was at a Sandals resort in Ocho Rios. VERY NICE. I've heard good things about the Beaches resorts also !!

And you were one of those couples who got married at one? How awesome. There was a couple who got married while I was at the Sandals resort and it was awesome to see. Everyone on the beach whooping and hollering for them afterwards !! Sounds like you had a wonderful time !!

Um, confused, can I go on vacation with you and your family?

Yes, we got married in a gazebo overlooking the ocean......it was so wonderful. We had people watching the wedding from their balconies above the gazebo. That was cool. My bouquet was tropical flowers and the gazebo had the same flowers all over it. I even had my dad and husband in tuxedos and I wore a shortsleeved wedding dress with the train and all.... It was great spending time there before the wedding and then after for the honeymoon (even though I did get stung by a jellyfish while snorkeling ). We want to go back next year to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.

Ooops, sorry confused, didn't mean to take this thread in another direction...hehe, you know how women are when they start talking about their wedding.

    Treshappy, you have a pm.

Tres-- COOL !!!!! Those weddings are the best !!

And the "basket" that hangs in those gazebos when they aren't having a wedding ceremony there are kinda *fun*

YaY Desib- that will be a lot of fun for you to return. I highly recommend those couples only resorts. Lots to do, plenty of arranged activities on the grounds and lots of interesting people to party with all week from all over the world !!

Confused- you might want to check into the "family" all inclusive resorts. If they are anything like the couples only ones, your whole family will have a blast and I've found them to be worth the money !! The other nice part of an all-inclusive is not having to take money out for every little thing. It's amazing the contrast and how much of a vacation revolves around reaching into your wallet or pocket for cash. It was kinda weird though, eating and then getting up from the table and walking away like that.

LOL Travis- I remember when my friend and I were in Cancun. We rented a jeep and drove down to Tulum and went to Escaret to swim with the dolphins etc. We thought we should see some "ruins" but I kept saying- look around- ruins everywhere- look at that building- they ruined it -see? " It was nice to see your pics again- thanks for posting them !!!

My favorite island in the Caribbean is St. Barts. It's great for shopping, dining, and watersports. Not to mention it's a great place to spot the rich and famous.

I have heard the Cayman Islands are "the place to go for snorkeling".....

Now I love the mountains but February is not the time for them unless you are snow skiers/boarders.

    Why not the Florida Keys?

I went snorkeling at Elat, the southern tip of Israel a few years ago. Great coral reefs and billions of fishies.. Airport is only a ten minute hop from Tel Aviv. Georgous view of Red Sea, Egypt, Jordan and Arabia. Food is exceptional mix of Mid-eastern, Asian and of course American quisine.
