    Frenchie:Joke or not, it's a valid point.

Sorry, my mind temporarily went into JW mode, and I was thinking 7000 years.
    Ewww, what a horrid sensation

So were man created on the 6th or 7th creative day?

I have the answer to your question: the 7th.

LT-That is another thing that I could never figure out. I do not know if they changed their teachings, but I also remember talks speaking of a day being 7,000 years like you said, and by them saying 7,000 years it helps tie in with Bible prophecy, but then again I would hear about the 2 Peter verse to explain a day being 1,000 years. I never questioned it, as I had to be a good little Dub. I think the book Life-how did it get here talks about it, but can't remember how they justify it? Maybe someone will have access to some of the literature. I am really confused-yes it is kinda yucky reliving Dubdom Days...

    1000 years?
    Contradiction between 6/7th day?

What leads you to those conclusions?
Want to give us something to go on, here?

Ross, I know you replied before I finished editing my post, have you read the rest of the stuff I put in there since you first read it?

So why does Gen 1:27 state that he created man on the 6th day?

    Gadget-

Sorry, I was kidding. I forget some folks don't know that I don't believe most things the bible says.

If it contradicts itself, that's no surprise to me and part of the reason I don't use it as a guidebook.

: Even though I don't believe the Mularkey, each "Day" was not a literal 24 hour day, but was 1,000 years.

The WTS has not repudiated its claim that each "Creative Day(tm)" was 7,000 years long. The 7th day was when God "rested." Was he tired, or something? Man has lived 6,000 years during this "rest" day, and that leaves another 1,000 years for the Millenium. Due to Bible prophecy and unfolding current events, that Millenium may just well begin in another 200,000 years or so.

Since every living and dead thing on this planet is no more than 48,000 years old, that perfectly explains why we have dinosaur bones over a 100,000,000 years old and human bones over a 1,000,000 years old. We no longer have any talking snakes, though.

    This is "Bible-Based(tm)."

    HEY FARKEL

DO WE HAVE OR HAS ANYONE FOUND FOSSIL SNAKES WITH LEGS OR WINGS?

I'M OK WITH THEIR TALKING, ITS THE WINGS OR LEGS I CAN'T BELIEVE.
