OF COURSE I DID ! WE all did and they still do. For a religion that keeps talking about not judgeing anyone they do more judgeing then anyone else. Those who are are doing well "spiritually" are in a higher group who others look up to, they're the pioneers, those with a good report, those who give lots of answers during the meetings etc... There are those who come from a well-to-do family. Elders families etc... they are looked up to. There are those who are not doing so well, their report is low, or they aren't related to elders or C/O's, these ones are always looked down on. I didn't start to treat everyone like equal humans untill I woke up to the WTS cult.

I don't think I looked down on anyone, just a bunch of people I didn't like. As for the other question was I looked down upon, you betcha I was.

Here in holland JW are very materialistic. They drive with porsche and ferrari to the congragations. Those wealthy
families look down on others though they pretend not to. They kindda clan within the congragation.
Many JW look down on others if they get inactive..you become dangerous. Many 'friends'let me down
when i was quitting, even without being excluded at that time..... It's the system, it's a social vacuum.

yeah, i pass judgement almost immidiately when i meet someone, whether they are jw's or not, the jw's i would think are okay, were the ones that if they weren't jw's i would still think they were okay, and the ones i didn't like as jw's, i wouldn't like even if they weren't
not sure if it's a jw thing, or as eman said, just genetic. i think everyone passes judgement and looks down on people for their own reasons, and i think it's a natural thing to do, likewise some people look up at some people, either in a jw environment or not so.

Weren't we taught to look down on anyone who was not getting at least 10 hrs a month, and at every single meeting, assembly, and convention? Weren't we told that they were weak and not to assocate with weak ones because they will make you weak too. Yep conditioning and mind control at is best.

Yes, that was ingrained in us, to constantly look down on "spiritually weak" people....I must admit I did it and feel like a real heel!!!
But, at the same time I would be for the "under dog" ...I would visit them (not during field service). I deep down knew that they felt left out and needed "friends".
I was looked down upon growing up (and other times in my life for other reasons)....cause I didn't quit school to "pioneer"....kinda a slap in the face because as teens we watched one of our parents die, the other wasn't a JW and we had to drive 30 to get to a KH....You would have thought they were "happy" cause we "made the truth(tm) our own"....
The judgementalisms we learned at the meetings were awful.....surely not a sign of true Christianity.

I was always "spiritually weak" therefore, I was looked down at a lot. Of course that will not make me want to be "spiritually strong"...

Our family was also seen as "spiritually weak".
Of course when you're a kid, that means target practice for the kids of "spiritually strong" parents

Mini,
Have I told you lately how lame I think you are being by taking a persons thoughts that took a lot of emotion and time (and exposure) and turning into a simple question? You know, sometimes you suck a big one.
I love ya but sometimes you piss me off. That was cheap.
