There is an apparent devil's bargain the governing body offers to the rank and file member if they "buy in" to excuses for error.
To wit:
If you do as we say and don't question our credibility you are absolved of pesonal responsibility for the subsequent error by God. You have no standing with Jehovah and we do!
In other words; it doesn't matter if you do something that ends up being a foolish and embaressing false prophecy. Full absolution!

: The Governing Body tells us they are not false prophets because they admit their mistakes.
There is nothing in the Bible that says if one makes a false prophecy and then admits it was a mistake, that one is not a false prophet. Making a prophecy or prediction in the name of God that is false means one is a false prophet. Period. End of discussion.
: They only err because they are zealous to see the New Order commence.
If I convinced millions of people to stop seeking medical treatment and taking life-saving medications because God told me he would cure all of them, would I be less accountable to the millions who died because I zealously believed I was telling the truth?

They are warning people about stuff that consistently never happens. Are they "supposed" to scare and defraud people by warning them about stuff that never happens?
: Their doctrines change (new light) because they see and admit their errors.
Yes. They replace old lies with newer lies. But they do NOT admit their errors. It's always a nebulous "some who were misled," by those old lies not "WE misled you with our old lies."
: What more can we expect of them?

That is what Armageddon is all about!
It stimulates customers to act now! What a pity the product they sell is simply an impending threat. It has as much substance as the dates they hang it on.
