: They must be pretty peed off with it.
I would think that the WTS would be THRILLED that there are so many apostofests. It would give ammunition to their claims that apostates are an "organization" bound to destroy God's earthly organization, when in fact there is not a shred of truth to that claim.
Most of us would HATE belonging to religious or anti-religious "organizations." At least I do!

Do You Think That Brooklyn Is Concerned About Apostafests?

I would say concerned might be to strong a word....perplexed might be better. At least mainstream dubland anyway. I think they really do expect us to head into the abyss located right outside the KH and weep and gnash our teeth. When they find we are, instead, banding together, bonding and generally getting on with life they are bemused and a bit pissy I would imagine.
I like it when they are bemused and pissy.

Hi E-man Having attended your apostofests and Floridafest, I can attest to the value of meeting others with similar experiences, when we were led to believe we were the only ones with doubts! Your analogy of the soldiers' reunions is so good - I wish I'd thought of that!

I think we have to be careful that we don't end up inadvertantly working for them. They could put a spin on it and say that the dangerous apostates are banding together and making an "attack on gods organisation" thereby making the average dub even more scared of speaking to us. They could try and use it as evidence of the persecution from the world and the nearness of the big A.
Just a thought.
Even if they did do that, we'd benefit to be organised and get the truth about them out there.

In their point of view they are isolating us, thus keeping the rank & file free from infections - at least they are hoping so.
They are telling them (the R&F) that we are such desolate people - and before the internet I think that was correct. (for a part).
So to answer the subject question: No I don't think that Brooklyn is concerned.
In fact they should be more concerned when all those apostates wanted to be back in the hall - there would be an epidemic later......

maybe this is a paranoid view, but they may even have people pose as 'apostates', on forums like this, and attend fests, make friends, and in fact photo people there to keep tabs of who is who.

Ha ha!
This is really funny. You see, it was actually Belmont who said that just a couple of days ago when we visited them for an evening meal.
I know..I'm a plagiarist!

......Now, if exJWs could LOCALLY get together on a regular basis and enjoy friendships, this would irritate Brooklyn and the local elders more!
I knew it.! Minimus does have good ideas. lol
Isn't that actually what is happening already? But it takes years and years. The first few years I was out I was really
isolated, and it's only been since the end of 2001, that I've been breaking that isolation.
I think that in the US there are a lot more "apostates" (damn how I hate to use that word) whom know
each other personally and are slowly expanding their circle of friends.
It's happening also here in Holland, the UK, Germany. Slowly,,,,, but surely. So let's irritate the hell out of the WT.
Long live the "apostofests"
