Do You Think That Brooklyn Is Concerned About Apostafests?

When I was a Witness I was always under the impression that apostates were in some way organized, not lonely and isolated. The WT likes to give the "us versus them" mentality, and it suits their purposes better if they paint the situation as "their organization (political/religious/apostate) versus our organization."

In reality, apostates as a world-wide group are a hodge-podge of different personalities all with diverse, often conflicting, religious and philosophical ideas. Ex-witness boards, along with "apostafests", have almost nothing to do with "bringing down the WT" in any organized way. The term "free for all" comes to mind.

I like the idea of the little stickers for the doors. Instead of sending them to individuals, I say send a hundred or so in little "kits" to each church in your neighborhood or near KHs.

These kits would also contain information about the destructive nature of the WTS along with quotes from the WT literature.

I'm sure we could find a way to produce these kits for about $5 each.

maybe this is a paranoid view, but they may even have people pose as 'apostates', on forums like this, and attend fests, make friends, and in fact photo people there to keep tabs of who is who.

    Ok you've found me out!

I think the GB should be very concerned about these fests,,whether they are or not is another story. The banding of apostates together thru the internet as manifested thru fests and other events, I'm sure has completely blindsided the GB,,they were not prepared,,as evidences in that they didn't buy up all the domain names such as this forum.

I think Brooklyn is getting more and more concerned the bigger the gatherings get.

I think they were very concerned about the Silentlambs march. Remember the poster who wanted us all to help defray his expenses to get to the march? He may have been a lone conman, but I wonder sometimes if he was a plant. About the same time, a new poster signed on to chat asking for estimates on how many we thought would show up at the march. As if we would know. I figure they were sniffing us out to see how big an event that would really be.

There are some great activitists who visit the board who make sure information about Vickie Boer and Shunned Father get coverage by the media. The Dateline exposure was great. I am pretty sure the WTS would like to know how organized these activists are.

The apostafests? It would be great if the organization were paranoid enough to believe that these celebrations of uniqueness are covers for covert Watcthower-killer activities.

Hey, I think the WT paranoia will lead to their own undoing anyways. They treat their own devoted followers with suspicion.

Pretty soon there will be a WT that says apostates are not allowed to congregate together or be joyful!
