FlyingHighNow, my mom and sisters happen to be far ahead of most women in the "objectification" game. Actually, they're ahead of most people.
Women are far bigger sinners in the objectify-women game than men are, and women need to pull their collective heads out of their collective asses, and quit bitching about hollywood, the advertising industry, and *men* (and especially men's biology), and look into the mirror at their own damn hearts, minds, and biology. Afterall, it's alot easier to change yourself than to change everyone else.

Maybe you should define what YOU mean by obectification then, because I don't think we are on the same page here, Six.

from what I hear if you go to a show of men/ vs women parading around sexually for the audience..
it is the audience of women that go crazy..
(no I have not yet gone for a lapdance show YET)

I think we're on the same page as to the definition of "objectification". We're probably in totally different books with regard to the root causes/harm of/solutions to, said objectification.

Excuse me, but where does Gloria call anyone a Nazi here? Go back and read the quote again. I didn't call anyone a Nazi either. You have to use your brain and think a little here.
My profound apologies. I shouldn't have used the term "call someone a Nazi" when I actually meant "arbitrarily liken someone/something to a Nazi/Nazism".
Now, are you going to deal with the points I raised or just split hairs?

I think the problem of regulating the industry so it only involves consensual over-age participants should be kept completely separate from the problem of people using it in a way that damages relationships. In my view porn is like alcohol or dope or telly or shopping or anything else that brings people a little pleasure or relaxation. Some like it, some don't, some can manage it, some can't. It can become an addiction, or a defense against intimacy, but it doesn't have to be. It just depends on the people involved and how they relate to it.
