dear Gumball (peace to you!)
In all honesty Shelbmeister, I don't believe any of the diciples, Apostles, or even Jesus himself, would feel god would direct you to share about someone other than the Christ.
First, God didn't direct me: His Son, my Lord, did.
Nobody in the NT was directed to seek a human figure other than Jesus, since it was HE who had the sayings of eternal life.
Second, if you got out of my post that you were to "seek" Socrates... then I SINCERELY apologize: that TRULY was not my intent. However, that I can be directed to tell the truth about a servant of God... is not "taboo." My Lord himself bore witness to the truth about John the Baptist... and others wrote about Abraham, Samson, Moses, Rahab, and more.
Why would god direct you to encourage us to seek Socrate's wisdom rather than his own sons wisdom?
Absolutely not! Nor did Socrates... nor did I. The post was not about Socrates wisdom, for even as he himself confessed, he had none. What he had... was given him.
May I invite you to go back and reread the post, dear one? You know, if you have the time...
Peace!
Your servant and a slave of Christ (still, since the last time I posted to you, above),
Shelb
