After you left the JWs, what was the first worldly thing you did? The day after my last meeting, I got really really drunk.
What's the first worldly thing you did when you left?

I was doing worldly things before I left.

I celebrated my sister's birthday with her family, and sang that notoriously evil song "Happy Birthday To You".

So was I. I was listening to Rap and Heavy Metal music, I was involved sexually with a girl, and I started smoking.
But getting drunk was a good way to celebrate!

Later that month I went to meet with some ex-JW's, for the first time.
Oh, and I ordered Crisis of Conscience, fairly soon, too.. -

I was already posting on JWD before I stopped attending, purchased Crisis, and was reading everything I could on the Net.
JWs get drunk all the time....even underage
Celebrated birthdays

Piph and I were sub rosa for several months, during which time we went to an apostafest, celebrated her birthday, and committed porneia.
After actually leaving... first thing would be celebrating my birthday, followed a few days later by celebrating Halloween (and getting drunk in the process).

Watched an "R" rated movie. It was "A Few Good Men" and I kept waiting for the horrible, terrible, satanic part that would contaminate me forever! What was the big deal???
Celebrated the kids birthdays!

I bought a lottery ticket and felt deliciously wicked. Didn't win, though . . .

I did so many "worldly" things before I left.. I don't recall the first one I did when I left. Before getting df'd I had read a bit on an "apostate" website and it had me literally sick for days, especially because it made sense. I pushed it out of my mind though. Then months later, when I got df'd, I decided to go ahead and investigate since they'd booted me anyways. So I guess, even though I'd done other "worldly" things, looking at, and investigating "apostate" materials was the new thing for me after leaving.
