  First, a person is innocent until proved guilty

  Well, whether they are actually innocent or guilty doesn't change depending on whether they are subsequently convicted or not (or 'case unproven' as they have in Scotland - a great idea) so they may not be innocent until proven guilty ... they have just not been caught or made to pay yet.

  They are presumed to be innocent to give them a chance of a fair trial. Jackson has already tried to turn it in a circus (presumably to fit in with the rest of his life) so I think he should take the bad with the good.

  I'd with-hold judgement, it will all come into the public. It could be that some detective gave Jacko the magazine to identify and asked if he had ever obtained a copy? then in a different interview gave the mag to the boy and asked if jacko had ever shown him a copy ?.....I'm not saying that is what happened (very unlikely) but it is possible and will all come out in the wash. Ya know how these sleazy detectives work, look at the OJ trial and how they got him freed and blamed the bent cops instead....

  Having sleepovers, watching movies.... sleeping in the same bed....

  If something smells like crap it is usually crap. That's unacceptable behavior. I don't think anyone thinks that it's normal.

  I hope Jackson is not guilty, for the sake of the children and him.

  No doubt he has serious mental challenges for sure.

  What I am curious about though, if he is truely guilty, and of course he would know it, why doesn't he leave the country and take up residence where they won't send him back? I know that the government has his passport, but when you have money, you can make anything happen. He simply would not do well in prison. I think we all know that.

  For the same reason OJ (or any other accused) didn't: if you stay and win the trial you "clear" your name. That vindication means a lot to the egocentric types such as Jackson.

  I am normally a non-judgmental sort, but any grown man who admits sleeping with young boys, as well as total tonnage of weirdness that Jackson has displayed, crosses the line in my mind from harmless flake to dangerous predator. I truly believe this individual has preyed not only on children, but children recovering from devastating disease (his accuser had recently overcome cancer). It it hideous enough to take advantage of a child, but it is beyond comprehension to attack an innocent recovering from a terminal illness.

  simplesally --- It was my understanding that just because the police arrest you does not mean you are guilty , they can only hold you for so long unless they feel they have evidence that will convict or an admission of guilt . The bail system is there for people who are pending trial and they can leave confinement by posting bail money , I don't know if they ever see the money again even if they are innocent . According to the justice system you are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the court .

  Ok I have a son who is now 20, but at any rate, there is no time in his life I would let him have a sleep over with a grown man 46 (my husbands age). I don't care if he is Michael Jackson or not. Now these people let their children be with him after he already paid another family off for suspected child molesting. I wouldn't let my kid near someone like this. I can't imagine my husband saying honey, I want to have a bunch of young kids over and were going to have a sleep over etc. etc. Sounds WRONG to me. As a parent I would say NO WAY! It just sounds plain weird to me. As a parent you have to look out for the best interests of your kids and here is where the parents of these children let celebrityism get in the way of good judgement!!!!
