We made mincemeat of the target, firing between 20 - 45yds, braced, two-handed, one-handed, and rapid fire. We shot off about 200 rounds between us, and left feeling like real men - LOL.

You can see the ear to ear grin, but you'll have to fill in the whoops and hoots with your own imagination. By prior agreement, we conversed only in our best John Wayne accents during the shoot.

Eventually we all departed at a reasonable hour, but not until after we'd raided NightWarrior's CD collection and played "The Smiths - Girlfriend in a Coma". I was surprised to find it, in the first instance, but also that others (e.g. Piph) knew it.

Not that it matters a great deal, but I thought that was my Smith's CD?

I haven't shot a gun since before I had Lasix, or skiing either for that matter. I'd like to give it a go some time. Anybody here bird hunt, or shoot skeet?

It's true. They called me as they were leaving the shooting range and I swear my phone grunted.

I've missed so many of the details, too. There were lots of mini-events that happened along the way, but I think I've recorded the gist of the trip.

I just want to add that I'm not rich (quite the contrary - LOL), I just happen to live on a small island where there's little to spend my money on. Brits usually get about four weeks vacation time per annum, so I make use of it visiting you guys

Oops I just had a dyslexic moment - I meant you, but in my hasty typing I inserted entirely the wrong name. Mr & Mrs Nightwarrior are Brits and were nowhere near the event!

My own laser treatment (about two years ago) has seriously improved my sports - better distance judgement, no prescription lenses needed for diving or driving, etc.

Yup, as I recall that "grin-pic" was immediately after rapidfire unloading of 10 rounds within 2 seconds - a nicely bunched set that obliterated my opponent!
