    Xena:
    I confess, I'm a barbarian...
So, can I drag you off by the hair to my cave???

    SeeIt:
My sister came home to the island for Xmas and New Year (staying with her inlaws) so after work I went there for dinner, before dropping them at some friends, visiting some neighbours and work colleagues and then heading off to a friend's for "the bells". After midnight a couple of us visited some of his neighbours, before returning back to the house a little before 2am.

We ate, drank and played music (there were box-accordian, whistle, mouth-organ, guitar and fiddle players with us) until about 6am. We all arose about 1pm (about 5am where I'd been last week in Seattle) and got cleaned up and breakfasted before I came home.

It was a great way to see in the new year!

Happy New Year to ya all - may 2005 bring you all you wish

    LT,

What a cool way to spend the holidays eh! What I would do to turn the clocks back when I was single and just travel... I was so excited to see your trip in deatils and story lengh. It is no surprise that princess and Steve did a swell job at getting the fest together. There are a alot in that group I would love to meet one day myself !.....

BTW, I am with Mouthy about you making your next trip to Toronto Canada....Our bears are all sleeping at x-mas time and our igloos are packed well at that season so, that would be a good time to travel here. If you choose any other time of the year you may have to bring out your gun lessons you had there to save yourself and bring a tent to sleep in...

Glad to hear that you had a great time and you also have loads of memories to share....

I did find the fiddle Ross, thank you. OK I admit, I only found it this morning.

We still have guests and have been out doing cool stuff...not much time to scour the tree. We took them to Deception Pass, between Anacortes and Whidbey Island on Thursday. It was amazingly beautiful and we found a great new place to camp next summer. I'm a chicken with heights so chose to stay in the HOG whilst the grownups skirted their way across a big ass (tall) bridge spanning the pass. (Hey, it was raining and slippery with a small narrow sidewalk separated by a spindley little guard rail) They spotted some seals in the swirling water below. Then we drove across the island and took the ferry across to Mukilteo and on home.

Friday Steve wasn't feeling well so he took the kids to their favorite Scottish restaurant (McD) and on to a playground to run off the wiggles. I took Frank and Lisa back to Seattle for the Underground Tour. I really wish we could have fit that into your trip. It's such a fascinating tour and they do it so well. You can so imagine what Seattle looked like in it's first few decades. Of course, all the pictures along the way help a bit but they drive home the point that you are standing in such and such a place and this is what you would have been looking at..etc. Afterward I spotted a Krispy Kreme with the "HOT" light on as we were looking for the highway and we stopped for a hot donut. Frank was good enough to buy some apple fritters for breakfast so thus far, this new year is awesome! Last night Lisa and I experimented with three different ways to enjoy the 151 Black Seal Rum she brought me from Bermuda. It's so hard to choose a favorite but I think I'm going to have to go with the Pina Colada slurpee from 7/11 with a gererous splash of rum in it.

    Happy New Year
    Rachel
