I think it is fantastic that two people found each other like this couple did, and have been together for so long.
Even if they are witnesses. I won't hold that against them. Good for them.

75 years of marriage is quite an accomplishment regardless of their beliefs and worthy of recognition. Congratulations to the couple.
Now, to the Jehovah's Witnesses, I'd want to ask:
Can you comment on this story WITHOUT being negative? That would be an interesting question, indeed!
Correct me if I'm wrong, this was posted a few weeks ago. Thanks for bringing it back up, a good reminder. That means I've got 33 years to go to match it!

I just arrived on this forum so I wasn't exactly paying attention to how long ago that was posted but it caught my attention. People seem to think Jehovah's Witnesses despise and loathe those of other religions and wish death upon them or something....
Ignore the man in the picture to the left...good story!
What a sweet wonderful story. That reminds of the couple in Louisiana who had been married 80 or so years and died this year within days of each other. I'll have to live to be over 100 to celebrate my 75th anniversary!
Great story , however, given the way you're introduced it I'm left wondering why you posted it.
Genuinely, can you explain, please?
I don't think it needs any explanation LT. We all like to hear stories like this.
My own parent's relationship and history is very similar and I want my own marriage to be as strong and last as well, and as long, as it has for both of these couples.
I and my wife have a tougher road to travel though, with me having degenerated from drifted born in to opposed (but keeping my big mouth shut).
A long and happy marriage is still my ideal and I hope that, one day, a newspaper will publish something similar about us.

You think those two old folks still do the hokey pokey, or something like it? Do people stop at a certain age? Not that sex is everything, but it seems that its importance might grow the less mobile you become, for example:
[GrandMa] "Hon, wanna go to the movies?"
[GrandPa] "No sweets. My hip is too sore."
[GrandMa] "Wanna do the wild thang?"
[GrandPa] "I'll meet you in the bedroom in an hour!"
