    Time-zones mean nothing to me: I control the horizontal, and the vertical.

    There is nothing wrong with your TV...Do not change your channel!

    What a crock.
    Were your worst case scenario to come about, then you've be meeting your maker soon enough. Maybe at that point you could have comparable data as to which was more important

    1. Artificial lighting would cease to exist, and therefore virtually every multi-story building in the world would become unusable. Commerce would come to a screaching halt.
    2. Computers would stop, and ditto to 1);
    3. Electrical heating would cease, and therefore millions upon millions of people would die within days;
    4. Natural gas heating would also stop (since the pumps that distribute that gas are typically powered by electricity)...and ditto to 3);
    5. Water distribution (powered by electricity) would stop, and we would find ourselves looking for the nearest clean-water creek just to get enough water to drink for the day;
    6. Waste processing facilities would stop, and within a month most civilized countries would be over-run with communicable diseases like diptheria and typhoid;
    7. Emergency relief agencies would be immobilized: no planes could fly, no trucks could run...and none of the guns of the national guards or police would operate.

    I've renumbered them, coz you've got two fours in there

    1. I've got plenty of candles
    2. I have eight hours of battery life in my laptop, and haven't watched TV for weeks - I read a lot
    3. I have a coal fire and lots of coal
    4. My gas stove requires no electricity, and I have a spare gas tank
    5. I know where the nearest streams and lochs are, for water - there's plenty, it's Scotland!
    6. I've used an outside restroom in the dim and distant past, and somehow avoided disease
    7. Guns run on electricity???

    Since I also have about a months supply of food in my freezer, I reckon I'd last long enough to modify my way of living. I'm near the sea, so fish and crab isn't a problem.

    Let's take the opposite scenario - God ceases to exist - the underlying intelligent energy of the universe disappates, taking your molecules with it - after all, you''re less than 99% vacuum, with spun energy taking up the rest...

    See, now that's what ya get by talking to electrical engineers about god-stuff. When did ya last hear of God electrocuting himself with his own thunderbolts? Yet electricians do it all the time!
