Absolutely not! This thread was born from a late-night combination of vodka and EE...shades of an X-files plot.
Electricity in it's manufactured / harnessed form has been around for less than a 100 years.
A bit more than that, but the point is the same: Electricity permeates our lives (or, shall we say, the lives of about 3 billion people) in a more fundamental social way than does the idea of God (which has been around since the advent of conscious existence?).
Except for samurai, kamakazi, and suicide bombers...I submit that the majority of humanity, if given the hard-nuts choice of "believe in God" or "have electricity," would choose electricity.
