if you mix those two you'll probably throw up a few times and the oxy wont have a chance to dissolve and enter your blood stream. i'd wait at least 3 hours between the two. ( i medicate my crippled honey so theres SOME experience in the advice)
Min,
dont mess around....see your doctor.
not that we are old, but at our age the body reacts differntly from when we were 25.
As for the Vicadin (hydrocodone) go easy; it is addicative more than you know. I just had some nasty withdrawal from the stuff.
good luck, frank
Auntie Herbalist here:
Gor urinary stuff I fully agree with the cranberry juice. Langers is good, high in real juice and lower in sugar than Ocean Spray.
When I have a UTI I make my own... 1/2 lb (bag) in 2 qts water. Slow boiled at least 1/2 hour or until berries burst. Mush berries and allow to cool. Strain. Add just enough sugar so you can stand to drink it. 2 glasses per day.
Ok, for mid-term use in breaking up the uric acid crystals: nettles 4 capsules 3 times per day and horsetail fern 2 capsules 3 times per day for at least 2 weeks. When the swelling goes down you can reduce to 2 caps 2x on a more permanent basis. You can also use nettles tea - 3 cups per day. Sweeten only as necessary.
Lots of water. Lots
These can be used with any of the stuff your Doc prescribes!
Brenda gave great advice.
I had gout years ago, during weight loss. I was also taking a diuretic once a week. It seems I was dehydrated and that was making the gout pretty bad.
Cut down on high fat foods and red meat. A rich diet can cause it, but not always.
My father found that cherries eliminated the problem for him. Fresh cherries if available, canned in water otherwise. That's all it took for his gout.

I second that. If untreated, or treated incorrect, this problem could become severe.
Get thee to a physician
Thanx 4 your responses!!!! Candidly, thanks for your comment too!!
My father has Gout too. He altered his diet by not eating certain foods that cause this acid and that seems to help.
The hydrocodone has made my foot throb less. But when I walk, it's still quite painful. After 3, I'm going to take the other pill.
