Food at the proper time indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just back from the doctors and he told me that the intense pain on my big toe was probably due to GOUT.
He asked if I had recently binged drink and being that is one of the mechanism I use to remain a witness I said yes.
So now I'll have to drink in moderation, not be a witness, or not drink beer. That moderation stuff sounds pretty good.
Doc also said to cut down on red meats like others already have suggested.
Good luck with your gout, my brother/sister in the gout.

Soak your foot in peroxide, then in hot water. Stop eating hamburgers and such. Drink cranberry juice and don't forget to take your vitamins. Gout is a b*tch.

I've also heard that gout can be a result of diabetes. Have you been checked?

And I heard that it can be the result of posting too often at JWD.

My info: Watch the nightshade family....tomato, potato, eggplant, capsicum, chillis, peppers.
An Elder in our cong gets gout whenever the Circuit Overseer turns up. He hobble around the territory for about half an hour and the pain he is in forces him to have to give up and go home.....poor brother_________!
He hobbles around the hall, and looks miserible. Under such sufferance, he keeps going, what a faithful brother. I bet he is straight into the newey, no questions asked!!!!

Thanks for all your helpful replies! Last week, I almost took Valis' advice! Now I'm back to normal (goutwise).

...glad to hear this Min; where would we all be without your questions?
Now I still say get yourself to a doctor for a check up....I am sure that your "Mrs." would agree with me. No need to take a chance at our age....not as "spirited" as we were 25 years ago.
