    Serenity Prayer (Modified)

God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change

And the Widsom to bury the bodies where they won't be found

Sorry FF, Here's my best wishes for you and your family. I understand the Witness people thinking some of us are not worth their time. I asked Witness people questions and when they refused to answer, I asked them why? Two of them told me, "You're not worth the effort!".

I guess that about sums it up. That answer matched their behaviors towards me and my family. I think the thing that surprised them was when I stood up and spoke of their dealings to reporters and TV cameras. They made an enemy of me for life. I think the way I have seen them treat people is terrible.

This will all have a good outcome for you.

Omg, FF, I'm sorry your family is dealing w/more df drama from them! It makes no sense to df them at all, especially when she doesn't understand everything behind it. I'm glad she knows you will be there for them. I really hope her husband comes to his senses a little bit at least so that he'll keep quiet about you still being a loving sister. I know you and Dave could use a break.

(((Freedom Frog))) - I said a prayer for you and your sister.

Here is a little tid-bit also for you to consider. The day I was DF'd I just knew it was the worst thing that could EVER happen to me - loosing everything and everyone I loved and knew in one short announcement. It was the worst day of my life.

That was many years ago - but I now look back and realize that had it not been for the DF'ing I probably would never have started researching more, learning the history of the JW religion, reading my bible, and eventually finding freedom. Sometimes things happen to us for a reason - while at the moment it may seem as though it's sensless and terrible, later on it is revealed to have been a positive change. I know now that my DF'ing was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was not strong enough to leave - my DF'ing gave me the push I needed. It may well be the same thing with your sister and her husband - they may have never left with all your efforts to open their eyes, and perhaps this is a push outside the gates of the prison, and a chance to breath in some new and fresh air.

I pray that your sister and her husband will make it through this to the other side, so they can look back, just as I have, and appreciate how life works it's wonders.

Akk! Sorry I just caught up on this thread. This is truly a disgusting case. My gut wrenched as I read your first post.

I'm sorry and dont know how those guys can sleep at night after what they did to their flock. Total pricks they are, total miscarriage of justice.

Sorry Mrs Frog, sorry for you sister too.

Well, I got off the phone with my parents. I'm so tired. I spent over 2 hours showing them stuff. I gave them an example. I asked them that if it *was* a punishment from Jehovah, then what is it when the Amish shun? Or when the Mormons punish? Would THAT be a punishment from God? Guess what...I got no response. I even tried to get them to answer but they wouldn't. They'd just say, well we aren't Amish's or Mormons...we're JW's.

Then I asked, if you tell a child from infancy that the color blue was red. And every day you pointed to blue but told that child, "sweetie, this is red". When that child grows up, what will it believe? Mom said, of course the child would say it was red. She said but that's not what is happening here and that was a bad example. I told her that my point is you can be taught one thing when in fact it's another.

Ok...I'm tired...going to go to sleep and rest my brain. It's hurting.

I am sorry for this GaryBuss. I got the same response last month with my 'elders pity visit' on me. When I asked why they had not come around to see me, they said that they were busy with renos on the KH, I said, "Excuse me, I am MUCH more important than some stupid renos, am I not?" They stuttered and stammered some stupid remark.

FreedomFrog: I am sick over this story and so angry. Please please please find the strength to tell the media, somehow, this story. You have so many of us in your corner holding your hand. Please feel our strength with you. Let us know what you need or what we can do.

Hugs, strength, and love sent your way and to your sister/broinlaw Jez
