JustTPink, what I'm also saying is that since his case will be 'dragging' out for six months, the news media needs material to keep it alive. The rag papers want juicy stories be it true or not.
Of course he's not guilty until proven so, that's a given. The burden of proof is on the prosecutor.
The phase there presently going through reminds of boxers just feeling each out in the early rounds. Just when the heavy duty blows start manifesting itself, well, we just have to wait and see.
Thanks for the reply, like I said, I'm interested in views and opinions.

I would be very disappointed if Bowen did not ride this wave.
When the media gets to fevor pitch, they will be hunting down any expert they can find. For JW child abuse Silentlambs is it.
There is a direct correlation between Silentlambs information and MJ:
1) Bowen can explain life as a JW
2) Bowen can explain JW coverup policy
3) Bowen can reveal other victims/victimizers for a complete picture.

ezk3, right on, its that 'fevor pitch' that will stir the public. And your right about silentlambs being in position of shelling out informatiom. Good comments, thanks.

I was actually thinking that the PROSECUTION might bring up the JW issue. After all, hiring a spiritual advisor from a cult that is known to systematically cover up child abuse seems like some pretty damning circumstantial evidence.

In all honesty Guest77, I think Micheal Jackson is so far removed from JW's that many don't necessairilly associate the two together. The media seem more Hell bent on his strange lifestyle and failing music career that they won't have the room to focus on his JW upbringing.

Greetings Prophecor. Please note I use the word, 'potential.' This means if you get a news reporter who hates the witnesses, he will use whatever dirt to malign them. Pedophilia in the org. is hot story, remember we have six months to play with.
By the way, I've been a freelance writer for a Native newspaper and you can't tell me I can't put a bug in people's ears. They have six months to play with.

So are we going to stir up a few hornets and their nest there guest77?

Porph, as I said, the 'potential' is there. So for anyone to says it can't be done, I'm saying, yes it can. The timing has to be ripe.

I don't post much, but this whole topic is pretty interesting to me. I was talking with members of another ex-jw board about this same topic. VH-1 did the special on Jackson's childhood... and Bill Bowen from SilentLambs was interviewed. Spoke a lot about the JW religion's beliefs and the cover up of abuse in the JW religion. He was interviewd as a "JW former elder"
The VH-1 Message Board was crawling with JW's who were appauled at what the show said about their religion. Ex-JW's were replying with their own stories of abuse and what the JW org. DID NOT do to help them.
This was all very thought provoking for me (and I seem to be a little on the obsessed side about this case). LOL!!
I don't think the defense would be smart to bring up JW's (and/or known cover ups of abuse). This would be in essence admitting guilt.. with a possible explanation as to why MJ turned into a pedophile. Their whole goal has been to clear MJ's name as an abuser completely.
It would not seem ethnical for Bowen to be a defense witness. As his mission is to protect children of abuse (he'd be questioned by the defense team for somebody on trial for abuse). I found it a little odd that he participated in that documentary. In essence between what he said (and what other psychologists and therapists who were interviewed) stated... IF MJ is a pedophile (there may be a logical explanation for why he turned into a creepy child molester). None of those interviewed really came out and said that they think MJ is or isn't... but certainly did imply that his upbrining and current state of apparent mental instability (as often portrayed by the media) would explain it all.
I need to hear more evidence that is presented, before I come to a final conclusion. As of right now, I am finding it hard to believe that MJ would give it all up to get his kicks off little kids. And if he is a mentally instable person who turned into a pedophile... you'd think everybody would have figured that out... well before now (his history with spending time with children, spans back to when he was still residing with his parents). A lot of the time line doesn't add up to me (with this particular child). A lot of the other evidence (risque or pornographic literature in his home and apparently showed to the boys)... is purely speculation at this point. There are a number of ways (if in fact the boys did see this stuff)... that they could have gotten their hands on it. Not ONLY that MJ sat with them and showed it to them like a bed time story. Ya know?
We'll see how it all plays out and it all will definitely be interesting to keep tabs on!!

Kellex, thanks for posting. The boys at the local coffee shop gave MJ thumbs down the other day. This morning I said, MJ has a mind of a child. He lives in a fantasy world escaping from his father's abuse.
Of course his defense team is going to be silent on this subject, its the prosecutor that's gotta make the moves. In this day and age its almost becoming acceptable to be whatever you wanna be. Wrong is becoming right and right is becoming wrong, sound familiar?
