I used to DJ weddings and some JW parties. It was so hard to pick music for these events and I still got in trouble. No matter what I played somebody bitched. It was either demonized, dirty or just too darn loud.

The last party I did(sevearl years ago) I decided to push the boundries and see what I could get away with. I got away with a couple of techno dance tunes, I guess because there were no lyrics, but I got funny looks from the "older" ones. But later on it happened: One minute into "Right Said Fred's" "I'm Too Sexy" the elders descended and pulled the plug on the music....literally. They cut the song off right there. End of the dancing, sorry, party's over, go home.

Yeah, I was "encouraged" to burn my record collection when I came in the bOrg too. Ozzy, AC/DC, Zep, Pink Floyd, Bad Co., Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jet, Asia, Van Halen, Scorpions, Ratt, Heart, Foreigner, Aerosmith, Cars, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, TSOL, .......

Holy sh*t, what a WASTE. And here's the kicker... I was told that I had to get rid of it because it was deemunized and only people who did drugs listened to it. I had NEVER done drugs up to this point in my life! Then they told me to be careful as sometimes the records wouldn't burn as the deeemunz would preserve them. I asked why I could just throw them in the trash - not dramatic enough. Of course nothing happened they burned just fine... till my non-Dub parents walked in the back yard and saw what I was doing and thought I was out of my mind!

What's funny is I missed those albums everyday since I burned them, and never felt "good" about it- just stupid.

You know, I love the very vague and non-specific way the Society ("La Cosa Nostra," if you know what I mean) refers to the music. So typical.

So... just because these songs are sung in a "popular style" all of a sudden they are bad news? After all, I am assuming the lyrics remain the same.

However, I hear the kingdom tunes are okay to share if they are in Elizabethan style.

upside/down....Well, you would've had to switch to CDs anyway, right?

It took the whole '90s for me to convert my old cassette tape music collection into CD...so that by the end of the '90s I hardly bought much new '90s music. So in 1999, I went all out and spent over $1,000 in CDs. Then, the next year, Napster happened. Oops!

I think the GB doesn't like anything that may be done better than the way the organization does it. The music must sound way better than the super boring and drab kingdom melodies and they are jealous.

Also if it has a foot stompin beat,, or done in a way that makes you want to groove with the music this is consider too enjoyable for worship and corrupting. They really hate it if you do anything to improve or change thier precious kingdumb melodies.

I hope G. Benson gets turned off by this KM notice and becomes part of the opposition.

These people are nuts. I've been guilted into destroying hundreds of dollars worth of cd's. Every time I would destroy them I would feel like a moron and within 6 months go out and buy them again.

I knew some guys that claimed that an AC/DC (anti christ, devil's child) cd floated in mid air around their house at random occasions until they decided to burn it. I've heard so many people claim they had spirit attacks in that org.. well thats for another thread I guess.
