I have another question. What would happen if someone is called on the carpet for being naughty (you know, like celebrating your child's birth or reading spiritually pornographic material such as this or going to church or other terrible things), and you decide to just hand in your disassociation letter in lieu of attending the jc meeting. Would they then just drop the disfellowshipping charges and let the disassociation stand?
Which did you think was worse, df'd or da'd people?

I used to think that people who DA'd were bloody apostate bastards from hell. There was nothing worse. So of course, that was the appropriate way for me to leave.

If you disassociate yourself you are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses, so they don't have the authority to DF you. The resulting shunning is the same though. And I'm sure there are some elders? out there who would DF you anyway, just so they can think they had the last word.

I think D/A is so much better, your leaving on your own terms.
I never understood if you still want to be in it then why wernt you repentive enough not to get D\F

In the Witness mind, DF = Weakness. DA = ...Holy sht! I knew I only had one more chance to give people an idea of where my mind was. If I was disfellowshipped (for apostasy, most likely) that chance would be wasted. So I used their system to make my point. SNG
I did the same thing for the same reasons.Who knows, it may get some of them to start questioning why anyone would deliberately leave
the organisationJehovah when the end is so close.
