They won't tell you you're EXPECTED to please EVERYONE'S conscience. If someone had a drinking problem---YOU can't drink UNLESS you sneak it. Then it's ok.

They will tell you they are not prejudice, oh but they are-----toward other religions and toward those evil worldly people. In time of crisis only JW get help first then maybe we can help a worldly person. I say Jesus would help all anytime........................they need to follow his lead but they follow FDS lead no love.

Can you imagine Jesus Christ not talking to a scribe because he "rightly" viewed them as a "man of the nations"? The WT. expects us to imitate the Pharisee's way of dealings--not Jesus'.

TRUE STORY....a friend of my hubbies was studying with someone and he wanted to go over what happened when you were DF'd and how they would be shunned by everyone. He asked the PO how he should approach this subject with his study. The PO tells him that he shouldn't even get into that with a study. They didn't need to know that.

Talk about misleading people and withholding vital information that could really influence a person's decision to get involved with the JW's.

I left the dubs when I was 42 and started college when I was 50. For this reason I have told many people that I didn't go to college when I was young because the dubs strongly discourage it. 99% of those I've told have been very surprised. It's something the dubs don't like to talk about to "worldly people."

So sad I had to tell my study NO ORAL SEX ! She said are you kidding how will they know if we do it? I was a bad teacher because We don't practice what we teach and God still loves us.. Higher education is definatly something they dont mention. Once your in then they let you know very quickly how they frown upon it and that you should be content at a menial low wage job. They seem to encourage learning and discovery when you first study and then you find out that the only learning they encourage is badly misqouted articles that are based on elementary science at best. When I took further education I quickly found out how they viewed it, but I did not allow them to influence my choices. They even were heavily disapointed when my wife took her nursing education, their were plenty who had to give their opinion of what a waste of time it is. I can't figure out why they would discourage such learning and betterment of ones life, its either jealousy, control, time, or most likely the combination of the tthree. It's dissapointing to see such double standards both in print and action, they seem to encourage learning but then quickly discourage free thought and critical analysis of ones views and decisions, which is my opinion is the basis of ones conscientious decision making process.
