It's interesting to me that as a JW you aren't able to say thank you to Jesus personally. That would be considered praying to him would it not? If he were here again as a man then it would be o.k. to thank him and talk to him for hours but NOT when he's in heaven. Any thoughts on this?

Witnesses say they place JC in high esteem but they are lying to themselves. They put up with JC and his wimpy ideas such as mercy, love and forgiveness, but concentrate more on the letter of the law and a vengeful interperetation of the God of the old testament.

    They are whacked...hahaha

By the way, welcome Samson. Oohh! Nice hair!

Jesus never asked for any thanks on our part but obedience and faith . Jesus gives thanks to those who are obedient and faithful thus granting them eternal life .

...and what is obedience and faith but another form of expressing appreciation (ie thanks)?

    okay, here goes.

    (ahem, cough...clearing throat)

Jesus: whether you are really god's son, god, or just another human that was able to change the world (a much more powerful martin luther king jr) I say THANK YOU! You really kicked things up a notch! Some for the good, some for the not so good...but I believe your intentions were pure. Despite all the warped things religion has done to your imagine, you are a good guy in my book, and even though I don't consider myself "christian" I personally learned from your teachings about forgiveness, and knowing that sometimes it really is better to turn the other cheek. Cannot agree with you on all the decisions you made, BUT I respect the fact that you were a man that made a stand. If we could all live up to the principles we believed in, we would all be better humans.

    So, THANKS, DUDE!

You've really got me thinking. (WARM WELCOME) Many years ago I used to do that daily & never felt better, with a light heart, free from all sin. Not just Catholic "original" (or Adamic) sin. I prayed, witnessed and studied the Bible daily, with real joy. Well that was 30 years ago. I'm tring to do right things now, & studying, researching, but perhaps I've forgotton how to pray to or through the only one Saviour.

I've forgoton so much Scripture, but where does it say that he will be with us (from 2,000 years ago until the end of time - sounds like a parousia or presence to me).

    1 Corinthians

"If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found FALSE WITNESSES OF GOD"

    Colossians 2:8,9

?Beware lest any man spoil you by philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.?

    1 John 2:27

?But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him.?

Psalm 119:130 ?The unfolding of your words gives light, it gives understanding to the simple?

    Luke 8:39-40 (NWT)

"Be on your way back home, and keep on relating what things God did for you." Accordingly he went away,

proclaiming throughout the whole city what things Jesus did for him.?

You'll have me thinking about this all day now my friend. Regards, Jaffa

Perhaps we should ask him to say hello to the apostles and give our respects to his mother while we're at it...

    25 Jesus said to her,"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

How can you believe this, it is contradictory. He says if you believe and die and then says you won't die if you believe. Oh well, I guess it's like the rest of the bible, you can't believe what it says, it has to be explained by some interpretation that gives you the beliefs of that particular religion.(Whichever religion that explains it)

Everyone who ever believed it has died so far.

PS: Paul said we had to wait till the trumpet sounds at the end then we would be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. 1 Cor 15:54 Then he does the same thing the religions do today on TV. He says to get your money ready, and send it to Jerusalem. 1 Cor 16:1.
