I went to a meeting today.
I found it very long.
I talked to a brother that went to a meeting in the morning in his congregation, and decided to go to our meeting this afternoon also.... *weirdo*
I talked to an elder who had a depression. (must be lack of faith)
Another brother quit his good job because he was fed up and wanted change...Now he's stuck with a lousy job.....His wife is going back to school, and she's 45.... Maybe she just realized that Armageddon won't be for tomorrow....
There was an assembly in my home town, and they were in all the take aways and shops in the late afternoon here. I saw one angry looking customer ordering food, she looked so miserable, when I saw her assembly badge still on, I felt like saying "why are you people so miserable".
Went to the memorial the other night.One brother asked me how many years before I retire.I said at least 20.Nobody ever talks to me about spiritual things and yes it seems like nobody really feels that armageddon is "just around the corner".It's just another slogan now.
