JH, funny you mentioned about the elder who was depressed and then you said in brackets it must be a lack of faith.

You know I have had elders say that to me and I was so angry that they would infer a lack of faith with depression. He sounded like he knew my mom.

My mom was convinced if you suffered from depression you lacked trust and faith in Jehovah until she had to go on anti depressants and then it was another story all together different.

The normal Elders that think they're doing the right thing and are not on a power trip, probably feel the weight of all the WTS bullcrap dumped on them much more than we did. I feel sorry for the good ones.

Yes, it's amazing what you find out when you go to the meeting. At yesterday's WT study, paragraph 1 or 2 (can't remember---I was already bored to death) said that if "worldly" people lose faith in their religion, it's to be expected because the churches have been so baaaaaad for all these years and it's no big deal. However, if a Witness loses faith in "the Truth", then it's absolutely scandalous and yer gonna die at Armageddon if you don't shape up.
