This got to be a joke, apostate surely. Although come to think of it, there are two brothers who made elder, after trying real hard. They where a joke, embarrising to those who knew they were desperate. It wasnt when they made it as elders, we where sick to the stomach, thats when you KNOW appointments arent made by holy spirit

I haven't read it of course, but I think it is a very funny approach to revealing the hierarchical structure and dynamics of the WT -- I can still remember the frustration of my stepmother when my father was not appointed as an elder whereas his peers were -- to me that was hilarious .
I doubt many would-be elders (or their wives) will fall for it though (buying it as a practical guide). I guess those who will won't brag about it.
