I agree, chia; I know what is like to have the elders make assumptions without proof. But I have to admit that little rule about staying overnight threw me since it meant that sex during the day wasn't likely. It is all a little game they play.

A JW at work informed the elders when I donated blood at a work blood drive.
And I am tired of the games. This happened to a friend of mine actually. She was open about her relationship with her "worldly" boyfriend. They marked her of course and took all her privileges but she continued to go to meetings. Finally in an effort to catch her in something they rode by her house constantly and basically stalked her. When they saw his car in her parking lot, they "invited" her to a committee meeting, saying, "We saw his car in your driveway when we rode by your house. So there were some witnesses to the fact that his car was in your parking lot, and therefore he was at your house late at night." How sick is that? I am tired of that.
Thanks for explaining evil force in the UK the age limit for buying alcohol is 18 and no one really cares if 15-17 year olds drink some alcohol that their older friends (of 18+)will buy for them once they provide the money for it. A minimum age of 21 for alcohol sounds ridiculous to us, that you can be 20 plus and unable to buy beer at a pub or shop. I remember most university students (mainly 18-22 y.o.)used to drink their heads off every Friday/Saturday night at pubs or parties.
As for the beer leading to fornication story it's just bizarre what a prick to try and dump his guilt on you in this devious way.

The problem with me is, as time goes on, I'm getting more contentious. I make no bones about the fact that I despise them as an organization. (One of the "appointed men" is bound to get wind of that someday) They have caused alot of damage over the years. It's difficult @ times to "Let sleeping dogs lie". I want to challenge them, but that lacks poor judgement so I won't.

I was reported for buying a pack of smokes. The fact they were being bought for my employer didn't faze the brothers. Oh, only one person saw it. No matter. I had...GASP!...bought a pack of cigiretts. I didn't even smoke then. Idiots.
I had no idea about all the spying and tattletelling until I came to this forum. I remember one time a couple elders being in a parked car across the street from my parents' house where I lived at the time, it was several months after I stopped going to the meetings and was dating worldly men. I was out on the front lawn with my older brother and my 2 kids were playing with Easter baskets because it was Easter. I assumed they were out in field service--one of them motioned to me with his hand and mouthed the words "call me."
LOL I used to crack up thinking about the fact that my kids were playing with Easter baskets, but now I realize they probably thought my worldly brother was my boyfriend. I never did call them, I had already been through the DF'ing thing before.

Over 45 plus years many JC meetings over trumped up outrageous charges.I have been falsely arrested,tires slashed, property vandalized, assaulted,back stabbed,railroaded out of town,once even my phone tapped when the elder had a basement office with the telephone junction box.Smeared,jeered,shunned,snubbed and sneared.
They top the most sleazy soap opera.I have nothing to hide the only 'crime' i have ever committed was getting drunk on alcohol.
It's the Stockholm Syndrome people,the attraction repulsion compulsion.All my life i reasoned;"this MUST be the truth,that's why it's so hard to be a Jehovah's Witness cause Satan keep's trying to stumble me out."
