The Burka ....

not sure it is worth the typewritten characters but ... some responses to this so-called ESSAY
On my wall, I have a picture of a Muslim woman shrouded in a burka.
Beside it is a picture of an American beauty contestant, wearing nothing but a bikini.
One woman is totally hidden from the public; the other is totally exposed. These two extremes say a great deal about the clash of so-called "civilizations."
The role of woman is at the heart of any culture. Apart from stealing Arab oil, the impending war in the Middle East is about stripping Arabs of their religion and culture, exchanging the burka for a bikini.
I am not an expert on the condition of Muslim women and I love feminine beauty too much to advocate the burka here. But I am defending some of the values that the burka represents for me.
For me, the burka represents a woman's
consecrationenslavement to her husband and family. Only they see her. There are now countless pieces of non-fiction literature authored by women who have been dominated by this so-called culture. Women who have been burned, beaten, raped, oppressed. It affirms the privacy, exclusivity and importance of the domestic sphere. Actually, imprisonment is a better description.
The Muslim woman's focus is her home, the "nest" where her children are born and reared. She is the "home" maker, the taproot that sustains the spiritual life of the family, nurturing and training her children, providing refuge and support to her husband.
In contrast, the bikinied American beauty queen struts practically naked in front of millions on TV. A feminist, she belongs to herself. In practice, paradoxically, she is public property. She belongs to no one and everyone. She shops her body to the highest bidder. She is auctioning herself all of the time. This is a gross misrepresentation. The feminist movement is opposed to pageants, sexual exploitation.
In America, the cultural measure of a woman's value is her sex appeal. (As this asset depreciates quickly, she is neurotically obsessed with appearance and plagued by weight problems.)
As an adolescent, her role model is Britney Spears, a singer whose act approximates a strip tease. From Britney, she learns that she will be loved only if she gives sex. Thus, she learns to "hook up" rather than to demand patient courtship and true love. As a result, dozens of males know her before her husband does. She loses her innocence, which is a part of her charm. She becomes hardened and calculating. Unable to love, she is unfit to receive her husband's seed. A generalization which assumes that all women are raised in a culture admiring of these types of role models. Irrational argument as well, ad hominem. "Unfit to receive her husband's seed?" Of course the fact that he has spread his seed across a broad track does not equate to his being unfit to sow it, right?
The feminine personality is founded on the emotional relationship between mother and baby. It is based on nurturing and self-sacrifice. Masculine nature is founded on the relationship between hunter and prey. It is based on aggression and reason.
Feminism teaches woman that feminine nature has resulted in "oppression" and that she should convert to male behavior instead. The result: a confused and aggressive woman with a large chip on her shoulder, unfit to become a wife or mother. Tripe. Feminism teaches that women are equal to men, not that they should be men. Again - it is a male setting himself up to judge a woman's fitness.
This, of course, is the goal of the social engineers at the NWO: undermine sexual identity and destroy the family, create social and personal dysfunction, and reduce population. In the "brave new world," women are not supposed to be "nest" makers, or progenitors of the race. They are meant to be neutered autonomous creatures that indulge in sex for physical pleasure, not for love or procreation. Oh, so if we don't want to wear burkas we are whores?
At his press conference on Sunday, Donald Rumsfeld said that Iranian women and youth were restive under the rule of the Mullahs. He implied that the US would soon liberate them. To Britney Spears? To low-rise "see-my-thong" pants? To the mutual masturbation that passes for sexuality in America?
Parenthood is the pinnacle of human development. It is the stage when we finally graduate from self-indulgence and become God's surrogates: creating and nurturing new life. The New World Order does not want us to reach this level of maturity. Pornography is the substitute for marriage. We are to remain stunted: single, sex-starved and self-obsessed. In many families of the culture he espouses, parenthood = Fathers who abuse the women in their family and raise boy children who disrespect mothers and sisters at a very young age. Females as chattel.
We are not meant to have a permanent "private" life. We are to remain lonely and isolated, dependent on consumer products for our identity, in a state of perpetual courtship. "Privacy" = domination, abuse, imprisonment, isolation, domestic chattel.
This is especially destructive for woman. Her sexual attraction is a function of her fertility. As fertility declines, so does her sex appeal. If a woman devotes her prime years to becoming "independent," she is not likely to find a permanent mate. hmmm, this must be why 2nd and 3rd wives are taken once the first wife begins to age.
Her long-term personal fulfillment and happiness lies in making marriage and family her first priority. What these men would like to force upon women.
Feminism is another cruel New World Order hoax that has debauched American women and despoiled Western civilization. It has ruined millions of lives and represents a lethal threat to Islam. Ignorance runs rampant here. It is not feminism that has debauched civilization. It is men's disrespect of women that has resulted in the environment(s) he describes, both sexual exploitation of the West and abusive oppression of the East....BOTH PROPAGATED BY MEN.
I am not advocating the burka but rather some of the values that it represents, specifically a woman's consecration to her future husband and family, and the modesty and dignity this entails. EXTREMIST POPPYCOCK.
The burka and the bikini represent two extremes. The answer lies somewhere in the middle.

Personally I find this insulting and extremly stereotypical. I am gay,
(((((((Rick1199)))))) I don't blame you for feeling insulted. Not all of us think of gays this way.

The reason that they insist on women wearing burkas is because the men won't be aroused by looking at another man's wife.
That is like saying bank robbers rob banks because they are tempted by the money that's inside of the banks. So let's close all of the bank so that they don't get robbed. But no we don't say that we say lock up the bank robbers and let the rest of enjoy conveinence of banks.
So I they should make the men wear a steel chasity type belt. So that way when they get aroused it's not visible to the eye.
That way the women can get out of those dark robes. They must be cooking in there, the dark colors attract the heat, they live in the desert. It's not only morally wrong it's torture. Make the men folk wear em.. especially the ugly ones.

Now there you go. Let those men wear chastity belts that only their wife can unlock.
I believe fundamentalist type religions are the ones who were always behind women covering themselves up so the poor men could control themselves better. Think about it, up until the mid teens of the1900's in the USA, women were not supposed to show their ankles because it might arouse some poor man who might not be able to control himself.
Thank goodness for the women's movement and its removal of such ridiculous restrictions on women.

Given the age gap between him and his wife, and her background, I find it hard to think of anything other than hebephiliac tendancies being satisfied by the realtionship.
As she's 18, fair enough, at least he is honest about it - similar sexual festishisation of adolescents is one of the biggest pieces of hypocritcal bullshit as practised by western society today.
It is certainly not a realtionship of equals, but then that's obviously what he was looking for; a servile child-bride from a developing country. Nice.
... I really cannot be arsed with a line by line disection, as most of what I'd say has already been said.
However, I feel I should add that guys like that give power-exchange relationships a bad name...

also interesting how yet again, male propaganda blames the downfall of society ... society's mores ... on the evil of women and feminism. The old Adam and Eve thing ... replays again and again .... the weakness of women and women's characters forces the poor old fellas to breakdown and commit awful acts ...
what a load of BS.

"In America, the cultural measure of a woman's value is her sex appeal." Quote from above link on Burka/Bikini
I'm sure men in Burka countries value women they find sexy more than ones they don't, too. Isn't there still adultry, polygamy and prostitution in those countries?

Ok I hope no one gets offended this. This is probably an urban lengend anyway. but I thought it was funny,
A heartwarming story of the advances of women in achieving equality throughout the world . . .
Barbara Walters did a story on gender roles in Kuwait several years before the Gulf War. She noted then that women customarily walked about 10 feet behind their husbands. She returned to Kuwait recently and observed that the men now walked several yards behind their wives.
Ms. Walters approached one of the women and said, "This is marvelous. Can you tell the free world just what enabled women here to achieve this reversal of roles?"
"Land mines," said the Kuwaiti woman.
