I am a victim of JWs lying in court (Theocratic Warfare). My father lied in court about his inability to locate my mother. He did this in order to get a divorce with full custody of me - with no visitation for me and my mother - with out her even knowing she was being divorced.
I have documented proof!
This is not something invented by apostates.

Well folks, I really dont know, but I have it on pretty good authority that t he WT says it's OK to lie to those "who are not entitled to the it ("it" being the truth). This is called "Theocratic War Strategy". How do we know that we "deserve the truth"?
While malicious lying is definitely condemned in the Bible, this does not mean that a person is under obligation to divulge truthful information to people. Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2 pp.244-5

Well, let's see ..... some Witnesses lie.... some Witnesses lie in court.... some may
have been encouraged to lie by Watchtower officials.... Witness kids may be coached
to lie in custody cases..... the Watchtower may lie internally..... the Watchtower may lie
externally.. Uh, when do we hit bottom here?
I believe the 'Theocratic Warfare' phrase is still found in the elder's book.

I know this first hand! The organization was structured by the Judge on a lie.
They told everyone that Jehovah's Witnesses "are not a religion". Any of you old-timers
remember that whopper? Remember the explanation about "Religion is a snare and a racket"
that 'we're not a religion'?
The Judge started the Theocratic War Strategy. Witnesses may not know the phrase
or how it came to be but the habit of lying still continues.

My JW Mom was dying. There is NO question about the immediate reason --- lack of Oxygen. Her organs were shutting down...smothering to death. My mother had signed the "Blood Card", but was NOT specific about blood 'fractions'. My non-witness father was trying to to respect her wishes, yet keep her alive, too.
A group of 'only' JW family members AND the Elders Hospital Liason Comm. had a secret 'jw only' meeting. It was decided that my father was to be kept out of the 'loop,' he would NOT be told that 'some' JW's could take blood fractions -- like hemoglobin. They 'felt' he would be confused about 'some' jw's could take life saving hemoglobin with a good conscience -- but, others could not.
A WT sanctioned "lie by omission" murdered my mother !

Another WT/GB lie: What's the difference between whole red blood cells and hemoglobin ? Our resident Dr. Evil Force says, a red blood cell is 95 - 98% hemoglobin, the remainder is largely the cellular membrane. So, a red blood cell, basically = hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is what makes blood work, because that's what it is !
How many JW's have died because of this lie ? This twisting of what is true...?
Slim, you just have to see this organization is not honest, individual members...sure they try to be. The 'captains' like all leaders are the ones responsible for -- mis-leading. They should pay dearly.

all things considered, Jehovah's Witnesses are on the whole remarkably honest peopleI'm sorry, SBF, but in my opinion JWs do not know the meaning of honesty. They know how to scrupulously avoid a sequence of words that represents a false statement, but that's about where it ends. In my experience, they are much less honest than people in general. When I compare my former friends in the organization to my current friends and neighbors, there is absolutely no question. The non-JWs are simply more open, direct, and honest.
SNG, My hubby always said that JWs hid things. Weren't totally honest. Didn't live up (deliberately) to the standards they claimed to cherish or uphold. He used to make me so angry when he said it. I really didn't "see" what he was talking about, because of my mindset at the time.
I find that the people in my life now, don't have any image to protect or religion to defend. It makes the playing field a lot easier to play on.

Either you HAVE the "truth" coming from your lips, or you don't. Fudging, waffling and weasel-words are not becoming........ESPECIALLY when someone has believed in the deliberate lies and then stood back and took a long, hard, unbiased, honest and critical look at the WTS.

I think we all know what that means....oh---and under pressure from WTS reps?? The SAME reps who promote (the) truth on someone's doorstep, but feel perfectly justified to pressure JWs to lie in a court of law?? My,MY! I'm sure the Father of the LIE does cartwheels seeing this!
As for the God who cannot lie who JWs are supposed to be in fear of, I'm afraid that the WTS report card is loaded with F's for failures.
Call it what you will--whatever soothes your warped reasoning and swiss-cheese conscience, it's ultimately up to the Supreme Judge as to what the WTS claims and what it actually does.

Me, many times. My Dad talked about it often. Just because it isn't openly discussed in the publications, doesn't make it any less real.
Yes, in general JW's are honest, law abiding people. But when it comes to "The Truth" itself, they have an 'end justifies the means' mentality and often act as if they are above the law(remember the Tacoma District Convention parking tickets?). I was reminded of this attitude a while back when I brought up the UN/NGO membership with my Dad. I asked him, "Wasn't the Society's being a member of the UN, extremely hypocritical considering the scorn they've heaped upon them over the years?"
"No". He didn't see any conflict at all. As long as the Society got what they wanted/needed out of it, nothing else really mattered. Case closed.
Although they may not have heard the term "Spiritual Warfare" before, any current/former Witness knows this concept: Protect the Organization and it's interests from outsiders by any means necessary.
