I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV.
Hey Dunns, sometimes in the morning when I shave after a shower I look down and wonder:
1) Is my dink looking away from me to be rude?
or
2) Is my dink talking to my feet and the jokes on me?
What do you think? (I mean really, how can I ever know?)

Duns: My field of expertise is not penal analytics, so I cannot help you answer the two questions that torment you to no end every morning you shave and look down at your equipment. But if you want to know anything about posterior analytics, consult joelbear since he seems to be an expert posterior analyst.

:: penal
Methinks you meant "penile," Doctor Subtilis.
Cordially,
Max
Hey! look at that! Good advice from Duns. Taking that logic a bit further, one would also go to Joel to learn whether or not homosexuality was "innate".
If Joel says it is indeed "innate" (and he does), then it would be rather stupid to go about saying "I don't think homosexuality is innate". It certainly is not innate in me, but that doesn't mean it isn't innate. Sometimes I wonder if the people who fight the obvious on this issue are perhaps men who do struggle with attraction to males, even if it is only a small attraction. I can see how they would think everyone has the same perspective as them (stupid, but oh so human), and, after all, they choose to remain completely hetero in their actions.
Not to worry Duns, I'm not suggesting a lifestyle change, at least not in regards to your latent sexuality, just a little intelligent thought.
Back to the original question....
The elements of water are 1 part oxygen, 2 parts hydrogen.......this applies whether the "water" is in ice, steam or snow form.
Therefore, both questions are right.
It is rather like asking if a glass is half full or half empty.

You're quite right, Max. That is what rushing will get you. Thanks for pointing out the error of my ways. I will now repent and offer more libations.
But, as I am rethinking this issue, it seems that I could have made a Freudian slip. Is there really any formal difference between penal and penile? I guess if you're in a prison for women, there is a difference.
Thanks,
Doc
For the record, I was joking about posterior analytics. I see no need to ask a homosexual anything about sex. The Bible is my guide in this area.
:If Joel says it is indeed "innate" (and he does), then it would be rather stupid to go about saying "I don't think homosexuality is innate".:
Oh really? So you think that just because someone says a certain proclivity or preference is innate, that it is? I don't think so. Would you not agree it is possible that every human on this planet processes information improperly, thus leading them to make thinking and actual mistakes? Furthermore, what if I loved eating human flesh, even if I had to kill to get it? When I was apprehended by the police for my cannibilistic habit, I contend that I was born to be a cannibal. Why, from a very early age, I would look at men and their flesh just turned me on. I could not help myself. Duns just had to slaughter men and cook them for supper. How would you deal with a case of this nature? Keep in mind that the proclivity I am discussing is the eating of human flesh. Theoretically, I could practice cannibalism without killing anyone and violating their right to life.
:It certainly is not innate in me, but that doesn't mean it isn't innate. Sometimes I wonder if the people who fight the obvious on this issue are perhaps men who do struggle with attraction to males, even if it is only a small attraction.:
You obviously are aware that we can never definitively prove or disprove homosexuality's supposed innateness. Science can certainly never "prove" this contention to be true, though it might provide sufficient warrant that homosexuality is innate (See _The Physics of Immortality_ by Frank J. Tipler). But I have yet to read any scientific study that has provided unambiguous warrant for the notion you seem to be advocating.

Duns,
I think you make some valid points against innateness. You leave a lot of room for doubt.
Thanks
