    I remember that we could eat a meal at Mcdonalds for less that 2$.

    I'd ride my stingray bike to the corner store with a quarter in my pocket and come back with 5 hershy bars !

    I remember dollar movie theaters, where older movies were shown for a buck. I don't think these places exist anymore. The real movie theaters were $5, and that seemed really steep for me. Now I think it's like $8.50 to see a movie.

    I can't remember anything else, as most of the 80's are still a blur to me.

    My wife and I went to the movies today, when we saw that a ticket was 10 bucks we left and went out for dinner. We'll wait and rent it when it comes out on dvd.

    I remember when the price of an adult movie ticket was $3 and I thought that was getting steep.

    I also remember going to the drive-in as a teenager, and yeah, I watched the movie, lol

    gas, around 0.78 a gal

    Sure.. I remember now! Cheese pizza: $15 or more. Pants: 40-150$. etc. etc. What's the real ripoff? Books! I mean, you should see some of the prices out here.

    yeah, I remember you could get any mass market paperback novel for 3.95 and now they are "softcover" and about $19.95!
