It's hard for me to get into the heads of celebrities since my life experiences are so different from theirs. What's it like to be Tom Cruise?

    Millions of dollars

    A name that everyone knows

A devastatingly handsome face, so much so that as far back as he can remember women have practically gotten whiplash from doing double-takes when they see him. A face that is so recognizeable that it is literally impossible for him to go out in public without being mobbed.

Being cast as a heroic stud in successful movie after successful movie

A rabid paparazzi that follows you wherever you go, and a tabloid press that is obsessed with your personal life

I just can't imagine what it's like. Scientology, for better or worse, is probably one of the only things that can keep a person in such a position from collapsing from the craziness of living such a surreal life.

    Love

It's easy to see why people who have no idea what Scientology is all about might think that. It sounds good because it's got "science" in the name of the religion. However, if one does some reading about the organization and its founder you'll find it's not helpful at all. In fact, a number of members have been driven into psychosis and suicide because of some of the strange techniques used on them.

"Tom Cruise became psychotic during a secret Scientology initiation in

which one is told that rather than being one person, one is composed of

thousands of aliens from all over the universe fighting for control of

your body. After completing this initiation, known as OT III, Tom appeared

sickly with black circles under his eyes and pasty skin. He said he wanted

to be away from Scientology for good. He just wanted to go back to

Hollywood and his home and be left alone by Scientology. This would not

happen; David Miscavige ordered Cruise could not be let go. Scientology

worked on Cruise day and night until he finally returned to Scientology

Hubbard was an sf writer and a total a$$hole. I say that after reading most of the invasion earth sf series, dianetics, his bio, and some xscientology articles. He made up his religion practically out of thin air, purely to make as much money as possible.

But what about what seems to be the majority of stars who don't turn to a cult, Brad Pitt who spend time on charitable missions, and others who seem to me to be enjoying their millions and love their life?
