Did You Get "Butterflies" Everytime The Elders Wanted To Speak To You?

Looking back, I can see how the elders could "terrorize" different persons. Some people are shy by nature. Others were trained from their previous religions to be in subjection to the "shepherds". Still others were combative and unyielding. Even some of the strongest personalities must have dreaded being called into the "backroom" for a grilling.....How did you feel when you knew the elders wanted to talk to you??

As one of those strong personalities...

I was nervous. But always because of unknowing- not real fear...

It's good to know that you weren't afraid of them!

I can honestly say that the elders never took me to the "backroom." Too many times of trying to rake me over the coals only to find out their source of information wasn't trustworthy.

Elders preferred the knife in the back approach in my case.

I usually lured the elders to the edge of the cliff where it only took a nudge.

Elders lie to each other, to the congregation, to the CO/DO/WTS, their families and themselves.

The ones that could do some good finally get sick of it and leave to save their soul, so to speak.
