There is no reason now to overemphasize this matter. Our good God will certainly provide amply for our true needs if we are "counted worthy of gaining that system of things."

OMG! Knock me over with a feather. I totally don't remember this doctrine and am shocked. They're withholding marriage and sex from themselves now, only to probably not have it in "paradise"! It's surprising anyone sticks around. Maybe they should surgically remove everyone's glands and sex organs so as to remove sex desire altogether, so god has to only provide for our "true needs".

Joseph and Mary will evidently live in different realms—he on earth and she in heaven.

LOL @ the stupid distinctions they make between who gets to go to heaven and who doesn't.

Yes it is obvious why they dont make a big thing about this. So many dbs would say wait wtf. I know my wifes study person shes about 21 and has told my wife she might get married now but will definetly wait until the new system to have kids. She obviously has never heard about this. But this creates a problem for the wts. If they tell peope to wait to have children knowing very well that they may not be able to in the new system it hurts them because they wont grow without all the kids being raised in the truth. But if they tell people they wont have kids in the new system then everyone would be pumping out kids, which might cause thier service hours to decline because they spend so much time taking care of kids. Its no wonder the society makes big things about birds like the quetzal but says little to nothing about this subject.

This is total crap. I have researched this myself as some in the cong where basically saying if you want "some" you better ger married now. Well the scriptures are referring to the Holy ones, those chosen by god to rule in his kingdom. THINK ABOUT IT, why would god contradict his original purpose of marriage? Does not make sense. It makes more sense (and this is the intent of the scriptures) that the Kingdom of god will be fashioned under the old Jewish priesthood system where the high priests did not marry. Those who served the temple did not marry (Gideon and his daughter). Thus this is referring to those who want and have been chosen by god to partake in kingdom priesthood and kingship - they will not marry. Look at Revelations all those chosen by god must offer there life up. Thus they are resurected and are as angels in the sense as spoken above. Hope that helps.

Then the publications say that those resurrected will be free of all desire for marriage and copulation. That they will remain single people.

Sounds like a zombie to me.

Sinis when the people asked jesus the question it was clearly in reference to someone who had lived already. The wts teaches that no one born before jesus death will be in heaven. he was clearly speaking about people who would be ressurected that lived before him.

when we met someone in field service who had just lost a loved one do you remember what we used to say to comfort them...they are sleeping....and you have the chance of being reunited with them in the paradise on earth..

how many people do you suppose became witnesses on the basis of this promise of being reunited with a dead love one...and who probably dont even know now that it isnt a biblical (or at least an organizational) teaching

and woe betide any unmarried people now who are waiting for their perfect mate in the new order because the ratio of available marraige mates will be even greater then since destruction at armageddon is likely for a number of professing witnesses who are actually not keeping the faith right now but who would be considered eligible marraige mates now on the basis of being baptised witnesses

and ultimately in any new system the number of married people would be very few in comparison to all the ressurected ones who must remain single thereby leading to divisions elitism and envy

or maybe jesus was meaning that no marraige would take place whilst ressurection was still on going but once everyone was ressurected then everyone would be free to do so

"or maybe jesus was meaning that no marraige would take place whilst ressurection was still on going but once everyone was ressurected then everyone would be free to do so"

Doesn't Jesus say, while explaining the resurrection to the unbelieving Saducces, that it will all happen in an instant?
