I like to be the leader.. but with someone else having the spotlight. I hate the red tape involved in leadership.

It all depends on the leader. If the leader is incompetent, then I will try to take charge.

At home delusions of grandeur...away from home... low profile: out of sight, out of mind. I don't want to lead anybody.

Leader, who likes to delegate. It's important for everyone to get the credit as well, and not just the one at the helm, so to speak. Also a teamworker.

I've had leadership responsibilities dropped in my lap as far back as grade school. I'm not one to go out looking for those opportunities, because I'd much rather just quietly do what I'm there to do and fade into the background.

But when I do get the opportunity, I do the best I can with it, and usually have great results.

I think I am capable of doing both...will take the lead when I need to but will follow and support others when needs be; depends on the situation.

i am what some people would call a natural born leader. but i hate the trait. i have been in management positions in the last couple of years because i will just take charge if i see that no one else is doing it. and i kick myself everytime i do it. i don't care if managers get paid more. i really don't like the responsibilities that come with it. i have been forcing myself to be less and less of one lately.

I love to be the leader. Dead center, spot liggt does not bother me.

If you act like you own it, people will give it to you.

Natural leader. I don't even act like I own it, they still give it to me... in any given setting, put 4 people in a group, tell them to choose a leader, within 10 seconds everyone is looking at me even if I close my eyes and sit on my hands. LOL! Except at home. Neither one of us is really the leader. We both just get to relax. And we take turns. Hehe.

One of my higher aspirations is to be the kind of Master leader spoken of by Lao Tzu:

The best leaders are those the people hardly know exist.
The next best is a leader who is loved and praised.
Next comes the one who is feared.
The worst one is the leader that is despised.
If you don't trust the people,
    they will become untrustworthy.
The best leaders value their words, and use them sparingly.
When she has accomplished her task,
    the people say, "Amazing:
we did it, all by ourselves!"

I like to lead, but I would love to be the kind of leader that is so gentle and effortless that the people don't even notice the leadership. I have had one or two teachers that were this kind of leader, and it is amazing what can be learned and accomplished with them.
