peak = 9800 I'd venture to say 92% of those baptized were kids raised in it.

Now that's just wrong.......
That kid still has the taste of breast milk in his mouth and he's being used as an example of someone who has made correctly a life decision.

I like the way the attendants have to keep the crazy eyed dubs from jumping in the pool and prasiing God. Or are they protecting the baptizees from being swarmed with love.

Winston-Salem, July 15-17, 58 baptized.
By the way, attendance fluctuated wildly. 8200 attended on Friday, 10,000+ on Sunday.
But on Friday, 400 or so left after the morning. Sunday afternoon's attendance was down 700 from the morning. Perhaps a reaction to the Timothy drama?

I hate the fact that they encourage such young ones to get baptized, when the child really has no clue what they are getting themselves into and the ramifications if they decide to leave at some point later.

Doubtfully Yours
I'm very voiceful about youngsters being baptized. Every chance I get hence the labeling 'border-line apostate' by many in my current congregation.
I say that Jesus Christ set the example, and it's clearly stated in the Bible: He dedicated and baptized at an age when he fully understood the commitment and the responsibility it entailed. I've said plenty of times that a kid that can't have full driving priviledges and is not mature enough to have alcoholic beverages then he/she is not mature enough to dedicate his/her life to God or any other organization or endeavor.
Oh, the looks and arguments I've gotten from my reasoning on this subject! However, I've killed them all with the fact that Jesus set the example and asked his followers to do just as he did.

Here are the numbers from the DC I attended:
Average attendance for all three days: 9,483.
Baptized: 131
Youngest: 11 years old
Oldest: 71 year old
Females: 76
Males: 55
Age range (this is not confirmed, I'm guessing at the ages from where I was sitting which was about 5 rows from the pool area):
Youngsters/teenagers (11-19): 47
20 yrs - 40 yrs: 53
over 40: 31
Again, I don't know how good I am at guessing ages so these are not official.
From our congregation, we had 9 baptized. (we have 100 publishers).
