    Do I Stand Alone?

My motivation was not to "recruit" for the Watchtower Society. I thought I made it clear when I stated that I am no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses anymore and that I am on your side. However, the impression I am getting is that no one is really understanding what I am getting at.

Simply, that you have skills that you could use to further yourselves in an online business. Think about it! you have many talents that you did learn from the organisation that you could use to your advantage. All that I am asking any one to do is to see past the negatives...which are many and extract the positives. I understand fully what some of the individuals in this forum have gone through...I have experienced it myself!

I would just like to find former Jehovah's Witnesses like myself who can see through the negatives and turn it around into something positive...or Do I Stand Alone?

Any of those skills that I have from my 30 years hostage to the WTS could have been gained with much less heartache and baggage had I been allowed to pursue normal education and a couple of credits in busines and public speaking. Just because they happened to be the ones that taught me certain things (accompanied by much crap) doesn't mean they deserve accolades. After all, a kid who is beaten daily learns to be more circumspect, which may serve him well in some situations... Does that mean he should thank his abuser for assaulting him daily because it taught him "useful" lessons? Your logic is flawed.

In my opinion, it is much healthier to call a spade a spade. The religion is bad. Some of the people are good. I do not have to remake the religion in my mind as something positive in order to recover from it. I am capable of acknowledging that, though I may have gained some useful traits from it, I can see ABSOLUTELY no benefits to having been raised as a JW that could not have been acquired by other means, and less painfully.

Well you could say that you could have learn certain skills if you were allowed to attend college instead of putting your life on hold serving the wt and waiting for the end.

I am proud to say that any marketable skills in my career path that I have for gainful employment did not come from the jws. Do you know any jws who are patternmakers who can knock off a garment from Macys?

sorry but I'm in a cranky mood after reading the thread about JW kids getting beaten and abused by unloving parents.

These are my thoughts concerning the individuals in this room and I challenge you to disagree.

This is the quote from your previous post. You challenged people to disagree, that's what you got.
