In a way our mouths are really connected to our assholes. Nothing fails like prayer.
I do have Buddhist leanings though and like the "feel -good" from the concept that I'm helping people by smililng.

proplog2 ~ I'm sending you "feel good" vives because you made me smile! :)
Orangefatcat ~ Thanks for adding your experience to this topic. That was very real to you and the hospital nurse, and no one can deny what happened. The problem I struggle with is why others (indeed--everyone) doesn't have the same experience with prayer.
For example, if I randomly select 1,000,000 people to step off of a small step, I'm fairly sure 1,000,000 people in the sample group would have the same results. The study might be more interesting if half of the group went up, and half of the group traveled down, showing a 50/50 ratio within the group, thereby suggesting gravity works differently, and further studies are warranted.
Prayer is all over the scale when serious research is done, which leads me to think answered prayers is more of a random result than God doing His/Her thing. Yet, if your experience happened to me, I might have a different view. :)
Everything we do affects others in ways we have yet to understand. We are all connected in some way that I believe, but cannot explain.
Once again, I have to agree withy Fark. There are too many paranormal experiences that validify the above.
I'll bet anyone 5 bucks that within a month after I die.....there gonna find all this stuff out. I always miss stuff.
Gumby
You remember those awful TMS announcements about sister so-&-so layed up in hospital, and comments about our prayres being with them during their time of sickness. I guess the next week when the funeral announcements were made, either we had prayed enough or out lipservice to the almighty just didn't pay off?!
Either that or Sister so-&-so no longer wanted to live and so no amount of praying was going to keep her here.
True story:
Last Monday night/Tuesday morning, I dreamed of my grandmother--which I have never done before. To make a rather disturbing dream short: My grandmother told me that she was "ready to go on."
I called my father Tuesday and inquired about Mamaw. He said that they had just taken her to the hospital. She had a cold that had turned into pneumonia and they had hooked her up to iv and were giving her antibiotics. I told him about my dream and he told me not to worry, she would do fine and she did. The antibiotics were working and mamaw was feeling feisty again within a couple of days. The dr told the family on Thursday that mama could go home on Friday. Everybody went to the restaurant to eat and while they were eating the cell phone rang. Mamaw had died from a stroke.
I am flying out tonight for the funeral tomorrow morning.
I believe as Farkel does.

Nooooo, Gumby because it will be you that goes to the other side and hips all of us poor earthbound souls to all this stuff.
Robdar, the other morning I awoke having a dream that something terrible was happening to my daughter. I checked on my grandsons and the four year old was sitting up awake in his bed. It was still dark out. He told me he had a dream that Mommy was holding him and bleeding. I started praying to whatever god or angel would listen to protect her. I spoke to her later that evening and asked what she was doing at that time that morning. She was in Providence, CT and someone tried to steal her backpack from her. She was able to fight them off. How, she didn't know. When I put Mickey on the phone with her, he asked her if she was dead from the bleeding.

Me again. After I sent you the first PM I came across this post of yours. I take it your daughter is doing well now. So......was she bleeding from the attack as your grandson thought?
Larry
So......was she bleeding from the attack as your grandson thought?Larry
She was bleeding from the congenital hole in heart into her stomach. From the attack though, she was scraped and bruised. I believe he dreamt about her because mothers and children seem to be connected. He was asleep here in Michigan, but she was under attack there in RI. I believe both of us waked up because we felt she was in danger. She was in danger. Her attacker was a man. I prayed for her for anyone up there to protect her.She said she remembered a movie that showed self defense moves to women and she used the moves. I do wonder if my connection, Mickey's connection to her and our concern helped her. Carrie only weighs 78 lbs and is very weak due to her heart condition.
Robdar, You have my very deepest sympathy and condalences. Please be strong and I am praying for you that all goes well for you and your family.
FlyingHighNow, you to have my strength and love and I am happy that your daughter survived that terrible ordeal
Java, I think in the matter of pray, I would say that some people are more connected to God through prayer if they have the will to be one with God. If we have faith in God I know no matter what he does here our prayers. Maybe not when we want but in due time I know he reveals what is best for us. Some way or somehow we get the answer from him. Maybe you find that difficult to believe. Perhaps its because I have always had a strong attachment to God from the earliest age I can remember and It was with the JWS either. I know too that some people feel that prayers aren't answered, like when the Jews were presecuted or when any form of terrible atrocities are committed. I can't or haven't got the answer to that. I wish I did but I just know in my own case it has been a good relationship with God, I know this is debatable by many but for whatever reason it is by God or something else or paranormal activity I don;t know the answer.
FHN give Mickey a kiss and tell him I love him.
Farkel and gumby your points were well taken
Orangefatcat.
"bioenergy"
wtf? lol, not Farkel too!!!??? the world's gone frickin mad....reality is but a popular meme! I'm going to take a nap in my freezer now, would someone please leave a note to wake me in one thousand years?
While Six is "chilling out".....
And I'm supposed to be the logical guy! This is truely a magical subject and worthy of much more observation.Farkel
It wouldn't be logical to totally dismiss prayer or postive vibes and good effects we see from them. I am not a christian. I do believe there is something bigger, stronger and more wonderful than us going on though.
